Ever been fishing?

I never have. Not kidding. Have you? I'm guessing less than 3% will say no.

So what's keeping you from fishing this year? I'd wait a couple more weeks for it to warm up but spring they are hungry and spawning so go catch you a fish.

I'd take you to one of my spots out here but you would have to be blind folded to get there and if I catch you peeking I'd have to kill you. You are welcome to join me though.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

I used to golf a lot, was a single digit handicap at one point. I prefer to fly fish than golf, but I still golf more than fish.

I will say that when I see people around here ice fishing... basically, sitting on a bucket out in the middle of a frozen lake in the blistering cold... my first thought is "How bad does that guy's home life have to suck for him to want to be doing that?"

It's actually awesome. You have cold beer in the bucket to start with. Then, you catch fish, throw them right onto the ice, and have the freshest most awesome fish fry that evening. Very peaceful also.

So you've never fished or fired a weapon.

Ever used a post-hole digger? Slept in a tent you put up? Driven a standard? Made a fire that wasn't from propane or briquettes? Shotgunned a beer? Broken a bone?
People here don't realize how lucky they were to grow up in an environment that allowed them to experience those things. The majority of people in any heavily democratic area have never done any of them.

We lived in Colorado until I was eight. If my mom were alive she would tell you about the time I went out on my own at five and brought back a 14 inch rainbow trout for dinner.

I want to go lion fish hunting badly.

Got my open water cert last year; need to finish my deep water certification and then we can arrange our own dives. Those damn lion fish are wrecking reefs and if I can go kill 100 of them, I'll have done my part.

Bold little bastards will just stare at you while you kill them.
