Yep. I was tired of layoffs constantly so I went to school, and now I'm at orientation for flatbedding in trucking. The securement training is top notch here and will make me more marketable.

Haven't their financial results been getting steadily worse?

I mean, there will always be people who just don't care and eat fast food all the time but people in general are a lot more health conscious than they used to be, and that is what I attribute it to.

Maybe a lot of people will still eat whatever slop fast food joints are serving but the size of that group is declining.

Our entire freaking political system is based on the idea of using collective representation to look after our best interests.

We have everything from political parties (unions) to guilds.

We fully support companies collectively lobbying on their behalf.

But if workers want to use their freedom of speech to peacefully assemble and collectively decide on what is best for them. Bad.
it's funny because it's true.

I think I've mentioned that I'm gluten-free (which sucks ass) and as such, I've been preparing meals at home. I think my favorite all-time meal is tacos, whether it's Tex-Mex ground beef tacos or grilled chicken with guacamole and pico salsa. So for the past few years, I've begun experimenting with spices and packs and homemade salsa and guac and so on.

A few weeks ago, it was a late night, my wife was with the kids, called and stopped at Taco Bell. I was working so I placed an order. Good grief! By the time it got home (only about 7 minutes), it was soggy and completely flavorless. Compared to the ground beef that I cook and spice, along with fresh tomatoes, lettuce, freshly shredded cheese and warm taco shells, it was almost inedible.

Anyway, short story long, unless it's an amazing fast food place like an In-And-Out or Fatburger, each of which can provide less than amazing results on occasion, I'd just as soon eat at home.

Exception being Thai, Chinese or Japanese. Someday, I'll take a Sushi Chef course but I'll be in my late 60's before having the time.
I take the wife out on occasion just for the ambiance. It's usually a decent restaurant with something notable on the menu. That said, I love Thai and find pad Thai impossible to recreate at home. When I get it figured out I may never leave the house again. Lol

That's pretty much something I wouldn't have said 10 years ago.
Disgusting ****ing shit for sure, anyone that eats it deserves the pink slime coming out of their asses.

Nobody gets paid according to their value as a human being. You get paid according to the scarcity of your skill set. It's simple supply and demand.
