You can't send 15,000 people from your parking lot to drive around in a tornado watch box.
You underestimate major league greed. Sure, the game can get rained out for bad weather, but they'll still collect the parking and concession money from fans who do come out. And tornado watches have NEVER postponed a Royals Game that I can remember.

Yeah, he said in previous years his focus was more on improving different aspects of his game that needed work, and he didn't really think about conditioning too much.

Chance of rain is no 0% until 8pm. At which it's only 40%, followed again by 10% at 9.

Game will happen.

He also needs to focus on attacking the strike zone and pitching to contact to pitch deeper into games. The guys all world for 5 innings.

He made huge strides with that (pitching to contact) last year, as seen in the high number of pop-ups he was getting.

If you take away the two short outings he had in September (when he tried to pitch through a broken rib), Duffy averaged 6 innings a start. You'd like to see him add 2/3 of an inning to that average, but that's pretty solid.

I'll take a guy who can go balls to the wall for 6 innings on this team every time.

I will say that the biggest downside of losing Shields is that he was good at giving our pen a rest.

NWS forecast discussion just updated a half hour ago. Things could get crazy in KC overnight, but for the time period we care about, they now think that the storms are probably going to miss to the south of the KC metro.
