Will the Big X be left out of the playoff again this year?

The Big X as we know has been hamstrung by not having a conference championship game and by only having 10 teams, and with Baylor's loss this weekend, the Big X now has only one undefeated team left - Oklahoma State, who is due to face two top 10 teams in the next two weeks.

Will the Big X be without an argument to put a team in the playoff again this season, when they end up with multiple 1-loss teams and no way to differentiate them?

And no, that won't be the case. The SEC hasn't won the title in years so there's no reason for the conference champion to get any kind of bump.

The Florida quarterback is a fraud who cheater the game to victories and when you look at those victories it simply isn't impressive. The SEC East is perhaps the worst division in football since divisions have been conceived in major college football. Which makes beating Ole Miss and Alabama the lone highlights. Ole Miss is quickly reverting back to their true selves and Alabama will be all Florida has to stand on.

That's nothing compared to Oklahoma's resume.

In support of your argument these are still games OU has to win so as has been said many times in this thread there is still a long way to go.
Tired from a lot of driving and yeah that's what I meant.

Your conference pride is hilarious. It is what it is, as angry as you want to get. SEC squads like Bama and a Notre Dame team will rake in big money and ratings. That's what they give a shit about.

Oklahoma isn't on that same level, so they need more of an impeccable on the field result. Losing and losing to a Charlie Strong is going to hurt.

Squak about SEC being overrated, whatever. It still is what it is.

They've been given a break by rival fans, most of which sided with them during their crisis.

But after this display you can't think the good feelings are going to last.

You're looking at a fanbase which has a coach that is flat quitting on their university and a situation that is so toxic that no legit head coaching candidate is even going to consider taking the job.

Pinkel was already losing when it came to recruiting not only to other SEC schools but also to schools like Nebraska, Kansas, and Eastern Michigan.

It's the kind of story that an Oscar winning screenwriter would have trouble coming up with but alas here we have it.

Gay players, DUI's, rape, drug dealing, racial strife and now.... no future.

I'd make stupid threads up too if I were them.
Will be interesting to see if the new hire can win a bowl game before Beaty gets his first win

They should, that conference is just terrible at football. Sure, someone will end up with a good record but nobody in the Big 12 would even be the 6th best team in the SEC, the 5th best team in the Big 10, and the 3rd best in the Pac12. But somebody has to win the games.

Sagarain ratings? Really LMFAO. Bro, any team that almost loses to KU, at home, has no business being in the Top Ten let alone the Top 25. TCU is a .500 team, if they are lucky in the Big Ten or SEC. They are garbage.

Oklahoma State are frauds, they SHOULD have lost to Iowa State. ISU got jobbed on an early TD that was overturned making them have to kick a field goal. Ended up costing them the gm since they lost by four. Nobody, including the announcers or even some OSU fans could figure out how there was enough evidence to overturn it.

Oklahoma is worth more than Alabama. I'll go with the Wall Street Journal's take on this one over yours. Please don't be offended.

"Rake in big money" might factor in which is exactly why OU is in a great position.

Not sure the purpose of this thread.

Interesting take being that the Big 12 is 2-0 vs the SEC this year and absolutely demolished that conference in the highest profile bowl game between the two last season.

In addition to that the two lowest ranked Big 12 teams (Iowa State and Kansas) would defeat the two worst SEC teams (Vanderbilt and Missouri) if you were to base the game off statistics.

I think you may have a case with the Big 10 being slightly better though. But not by much.

I remember when Stoops was talking about how the top half of the SEC was dominating the bottom half of the SEC.

He's awfully quiet about how the top half of the Big 12 is undefeated against the bottom half this year. Hell, the top 4 teams are 22-1 against the other 6.

You're sqwaking about the #1 Big XII team in 2014 whooping the #6 SEC team in a bowl game? Bravo!

Why do you still spout this bullshit? Even Saul Good, who is one of the board's biggest Big 12 haters, took you to task on this nonsense.

The B1G is ****ing terrible this year.

The Pac 12 is ****ing terrible.

The $EC is the worst they've been in a long time.
