worst case scenario, a gm drafts a murderer who didn't even sign with them.... in addition to being fired, that gm would probably end up on many of "draft countdown failure tv shows", and they probably wouldn't be able to get another job in the NFL. |

I'd take a shot on him. Top talent with a fifth rounder? No brainer.

No way any NFL team is going to take a chance on a guy involved in an open investigation of his pregnant ex girlfriends murder. Especially one who says he won't play next season if picked. Shitty situation for the guy if he is indeed innocent. Especially since he's not even officially a suspect.

Draft him. Wait to sign him when/if he is cleared. Otherwise, cut your loss. Not a big loss.

Just curious if anybody would know. What happens if he is indeed completely innocent in this matter? If that's the case, then the police department may have ruined his career and cost him millions of dollars. Any case for him to sue the department for defamation or something?
If he is somehow involved then **** him, but otherwise I feel bad for the guy. |

Yeah if it turns out he is just a victim of circumstance then that would be terrible. There is something strange about the whole situation though. I can understand no longer having feelings for the ex-gf but my issue is that when he found out he was potentially the father of the child he shouldve been telling draft officials immediately that he needed to leave. Thats didnt happen until after the backlash on social media. The atty defended his actions saying he was cooperating with police and preparing for the draft When he shouldve been focused on his child. Something doesnt add up.....

Given the bizarre circumstances and timing...I'm surprised the NFL didn't accept the supplemental draft request. It royally screwed this guy over,,,if he is innocent.

This is the kind of fatty pick smart GM's should be plowing the field for.
