Do you take a shot at him?
It's one thing to say you will sit out an entire year but to actually do it? I don't think he will and I DEFINITELY don't think he's guilty. Why plan for your future the way he has if you already know you're going to prison?

I think we need to pick him up before the sixth round with our comp pick. I mean it's not like it will hurt us. Worst case is he ends up being guilty and we lose out on a 5th round scrub? Oh no!

keep in mind these gm's are held accountable for their actions. they aren't just guys talking on forum.

worst case scenario, a gm drafts a murderer who didn't even sign with them.... in addition to being fired, that gm would probably end up on many of "draft countdown failure tv shows", and they probably wouldn't be able to get another job in the NFL.

No way any NFL team is going to take a chance on a guy involved in an open investigation of his pregnant ex girlfriends murder. Especially one who says he won't play next season if picked. Shitty situation for the guy if he is indeed innocent. Especially since he's not even officially a suspect.

Just curious if anybody would know. What happens if he is indeed completely innocent in this matter? If that's the case, then the police department may have ruined his career and cost him millions of dollars. Any case for him to sue the department for defamation or something?

If he is somehow involved then **** him, but otherwise I feel bad for the guy.

I'm not sure how he could sue the police department. They're just doing their job and investigating a murder. They've already said he isn't a suspect. Just absolute shitty timing for him. It sucks, but it's not the Police Departments fault.

Yeah if it turns out he is just a victim of circumstance then that would be terrible. There is something strange about the whole situation though. I can understand no longer having feelings for the ex-gf but my issue is that when he found out he was potentially the father of the child he shouldve been telling draft officials immediately that he needed to leave. Thats didnt happen until after the backlash on social media. The atty defended his actions saying he was cooperating with police and preparing for the draft When he shouldve been focused on his child. Something doesnt add up.....

Given the bizarre circumstances and timing...I'm surprised the NFL didn't accept the supplemental draft request. It royally screwed this guy over,,,if he is innocent.
