2016 KC Chiefs Goat(s)

Every year there a few Chiefs who I start out being kind of "down" on. You know, guys who are supposed to be better than their performance, or new guys who you just can't warm up to.....so, you don't exactly hate 'em, but you watch them with suspicion.

Examples of prior such "goats" include:

Alex - Too darned risk averse (i.e. deflated balls)
Fisher - Expected more of a #1 pick
Ford - Terrible at everything except first step
Wilson - Won't dive for the ball
Sorensen - Not fast enough
Parker - Misses too many tackles
DAT - Timid
Fleming - Too toasty
Gaines - Brittle
Santos - Any kicker can qualify to be disliked with a couple of bad kicks
Colquitt - See above
Etc.

Anyway, this year, the guy I'm most "down" on is Mr Dee Ford. I think the guy has a ton of physical talent, but I question his football IQ and his dedication to the sport. Yeah, perhaps he's a new man this year, but I'm gonna have to see it to believe it.

Second on my list this year is DAT. Hard to fathom what the heck happened at the end of last year. Does the guy really want to be here?

My third guy is Knile Davis. Guy has some talent, but puts the ball on the rug way too much. Hold onto the fricking ball!

So, who do you have a wayward eye on this year? Fire away, lads.

Why is he still here again?

Truth is, there hasn't been a whole lot to be negative about in the past 3 years, so like Clay the idiot homers have turned into idiot haters.

My optimism isn't about perfection (I've openly disagreed with some of Reid and Dorsey's decisions) as much as it is about this teams chances of achieving the ultimate goal. You can't label somebody a homer for being optimistic about something that is clearly a legitimate possibility.
I am not going to dig anything up, for I don't have the motivation right now. I used to have a lot of energy when I posted on here, but not so much anymore...not since I began working 3rd shift. It has kind of taken the wind out of my sails a bit. I will start calling it out when and if...no wait, just when (not if) I see it, though. I'm not going to sift through all of your past posts just to prove to the entire planet how blindlessly homeriffic you are, when everyone knows it already...unless I have some sort of unexpected burst of energy in the near future.

However, if we were to create a poll of the blindiest, blindest, homeriest homers, I am about 97.9875% sure that you would be voted number 1.

Sometimes, when I read your posts pertaining to pretty much any Chief imaginable...whether it be Trezelle Jenkins or Derrick Thomas, I imagine you prancing around a prairie in your free time, kind of like this:

Must be nice. Seriously dude, consider yourself lucky.

Actually, now that I think of it...some sort of "who is the biggest homer on CP" poll/contest would be fun. We could do it in heats and nominations and everything.

I would lobby for ol' staylor with the same passion as I lobbied against Kate Beckinsale in the hottest female celebrity contest!!!!!!

Ignore him.

If he's not deepthroating Charles, he's deepthroating Berry.

He also views games on an Apple Watch or 17" CRT from a crappy stream.

For being too busy to dig anything up you sure did write out a long response that says a whole lot of nothing.

In order for somebody to be a "huge homer", I think you have to overrate the team and the players on the team. You won't find many examples of me doing that. I'm not one of the guys that defends Alex Smith at every turn, but I'm also not one of the guys that acts like he's a terrible QB and we can't win a SB with him either.

I know I've been right a hell of a lot more than I've been wrong, and some see that while guys like you that can't even remember a ****ing thing I said to back up your opinion just continue to talk out of your asses.

The bottom line is this teams had three consecutive winning seasons and finally got over the hump of winning a playoff game. We have all the reason to be optimistic about this teams chances of winning the big one, but some of you are so hard headed and miserable you'd rather cling to the past and expect failure when you have no logical reason to be pessimistic.

Jamaal Charles is absolutely worthy of my fellatio, bro. He's more talented than Priest Holmes ever was and he's been our best player since, like, November of 2009.

And I don't really jock Berry so much as call people out on their idiocy. As I said in another thread, just say a safety isn't worth $10+m per year. When you start saying he doesn't force enough turnovers or hasn't lived up to his potential when he's right in line with other top safeties in the league as far as turnovers are concerned AND has received All-Pro honors at both FS and SS, you start to look like you don't know what the **** you're talking about.

You just get mad when I give you shit about your horrendous football takes.

You've obviously been watching the games on a shitty stream on your knock-off Apple Watch.

Jamaal is far more talented than Priest.

Holmes averaged just over 4.5 yards per carry in his 6 years in KC behind arguably the best O-Line in the league.

Charles is the career leader in yards per carry running behind some of the worst O-Lines KC has ever fielded.

Who lives in fantasyland?
