The super bowl could be in KC everyone be prepared for the glorious day.

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

The Kansas City Chiefs are getting ready to make a push for the Super Bowl.

For a while, it looked like the 2015 Super Bowl would be held at Arrowhead Stadium. The NFL owners voted to hold the game in Kansas City, but the team withdrew its bid because of a disagreement about stadium renovations.

Now, a new push to bring the big game to the metro begins. Monday will be the Super Bowl Task Force first meeting.

Missouri hopes Arrowhead Stadium will become the next "cold weather" stadium to host the Super Bowl.

This comes as the league started hosting the Super Bowl in colder cities. Just last year, the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos squared off in New Jersey. The temperature was in the lower 40s.

This year, however, will heat back up in Phoenix, AZ. But it is certainly an exciting prospect for Chiefs fans this next time around.

Local lawmakers, like Sen. Paul LeVota, of Independence, are coaxing the league to make the Chiefs Stadium its next stop.

LeVota helped put together the task force in the state's economic development department in an effort to rake in revenue.

He said the stadium's $350 million makeover back in 2010 is an added draw for the NFL.

KCTV5 News is expecting more details about the meetings ahead.

It ain't happening.

NFL doesn't want people driving to SB sites and lo and behold that's the only way to get to the TSC.

Well, I'd be much more confident if Arrowhead wasn't in the middle of nowhere. Great choice guys, leaving Arrowhead and Kaufman near Dennys & the mighty Red Roof Inn. Historic KC Landmarks. And, when you park, nice neighborhood folk wonder down and steal your catalytic converters from your vehicles on a daily basis. What a deal

I just about spit out my coffee right here. No way the NFL's SB pimp committee gives any ****s about an old house that was fixed up four years ago, and probably a decade ahead of the soonest SB date to consider. It would have to be done again (or a new stadium built) to even appear as a blip on their radar. I mean, there's loving what Arrowhead is, and then there's reality.

And the NFL did not open the path to cold weather outdoor Bowls, they just had some people in NYC to jerk off, and that job is done.

Granted, I'm not in or around Kansas City, but the prospect of a Super Bowl in my favorite team's town just means nothing to me.
