The Twins are in for a fun lil 3 games wouldn't you say?

My first game thread and the way things are going, I like the Royals odds this game.

Interesting fact for this game: Duffy is 3-0 with a 1.35 ERA in four career games at Target Field. Duffy has no explanation for his success there. "Just a coincidence, I'm guessing," he said. "I do like the park. It's really nice." This will be the first time Duffy will start in a team's home opener. "I just got to take the pill and throw it and keep it rolling for us," he said.

Game time - 3:10 PM

If everything else were equal over the course of the season, Morales' speed compared to Butler will score 10-12, possibly more, runs that Butler wouldn't.

That, in and of itself, could be a difference of 3 wins.

stuck with Wade Davis? Wow. That was a really interesting way to twist the following statement:

"Wil Myers and Jake Odorizzi will be representing the Rays in the 2015 All-Star Game. But that's ok, the Royals will be represented by closer Wade Davis!"

So 'stuck with Wade Davis' means he's an all-star?

You're really reaching, guy. And Odorizzi went 8 innings tonight and gave up 1 run. He looks like he may be a staff ace for Tampa Bay for years to come.

Again, clearly we ended up just fine in that trade, but good **** man, stop embarrassing yourself.

I don't even know what he was trying to prove with that Butler / Morales comparison. I'm thrilled with Morales.

But Billy is tearing the cover off the ball, too. He hit a 3 run bomb tonight. I'd take Morales 10 times out of 10 considering he got half the contract and seems to be a better baseball player ... but Billy is off to a great start. And good for him, too.

Wade Davis might be my favorite Royal on the team currently -- and PB has the audacity to try and make it seem like last year I was griping because we'd be "stuck" with Wade Davis

I've only had the biggest mancrush on that guy since about the 3rd week of the season last year. Hell, I've been trying to trade Holland now for 2 years because Davis is our best reliever and I didn't think we were going to be able to keep both.

and I love how he takes my quote about Myers and ODORIZZI and conveniently cuts ODORIZZI out of it because he's given up 1 run in 15 innings to start the year and is one of the hottest starters in baseball right now

...but man, he pwned me
