Yesterday we brought to you the news that a reveal of Bungie's next project, Destiny, was being hinted at for this upcoming Monday, February 18 – an augmented-reality game on the studio's website seemed to be pointing toward that date. Well, we won't have to wait quite that long. It's now been announced that Destiny will be unveiled one day earlier than we thought, on this Sunday, February 17.
An official Facebook page went live today and made that announcement as its first order of business. A Twitter account for the game has also been activated as well.
And if all that isn't enough to get you hyped, have a first look at the game's just-revealed logo as well:

I figured out why I wasn't gaining any Vanguard rep. I was wearing a Dead Orbit Warlock Bond when doing the Vanguard bounties. That must have been why I was stuck at 1421/1500 for so long on level 0.

I put it on because it was purple without thinking twice about it. Damn it!!!

Why does it matter which group you level?

Shouldn't you just work on one? After 3 you get a legendary/ies in the mail

The weekly strike gives 500 vanguard. The weekly night fall gives 500 vanguard. Fastest I've seen

For me I really wanted the FWC armor because it fits my play style (abilities and what not). So there isn't an immediate need to get them past lvl 2. Vangaurd has the weapons I want so I took them to lvl 3. Additional weapons that I'd like are with Dead Orbit so I'll take them to lvl 3 too. Eventually it makes sense to just lvl them all up but initially you should base it on what you want.

Anybody else having issues staying connected to the Bungie servers lately? The past few days I keep getting booted, especially in the afternoons. My inet isn't the issue.

Basically cave farming got nerfed (never did it), rewards from the Queen won't include upgrade materials anymore (damn, no more queen's missions for me), Cryptarc and weapons changes coming.

I don't think it matters and I was just working on the Vanguard one however I had a Dead Orbit Bond on while doing missions for the Vanguard. I don't even has access to Dead Orbit missions yet...assuming there are some.

They also reduced the amount of engrams that drop. No more moon farming now either.

Thanks. Figured it was the update today, but Bungie servers have been clownshoes for me all week (granted not as bad as today) which is some booshits.

It's honestly looking like in 5 days when Shadows of Mordor comes out.....that Destiny will be taking a backseat to that. The story in Destiny has done nothing to keep me interested.

Farming public events and doing patrols is probably the quickest way to get rep.

The public events are on a timer, I prefer farming the ones on Earth...

Just do the public events in the Mothyards and the Divide and always make sure you're doing a patrol at the same time. You get crafting materials and 4 marks for doing the public event and you get 10 to 25 rep for doing the patrols.
