Is there something wrong with my Chiefsplanet account?
I've noticed over the years that I cannot embed any YouTube videos in my posts using the standard YouTube embed code. The embedded videos do not display. Here is an example. If I copy and paste the embed code for the Kansas City Royals 2015 playoff video from YouTube, the video doesn't display in my post.

The white space below this line is where the video should be embedded in my post:



I know other users can use the standard YouTube embed code, because I see it all the time. If I quote a post containing the embed code, it doesn't display properly in my post even though it displays properly in the original post.

It's not a big deal, because I discovered a workaround a long time ago. I just use the youtube BBCODE tag instead of the YouTube embed code, and that works perfectly.

For example, this works for me:

[youtube]Q5NUmLDentM[/youtube]


As you can see below, the video is properly embedded.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5NUmLDentM

Like I said, it's not a big deal. I just think it's an interesting problem. I'm just curious why my account appears to be set up a little differently from other accounts.

Perhaps I should send a PM to Bob Dole about this ...
