New worlds because they are on their '5 year mission' to explore new worlds I assume. The last movie ended with them voyaging off to begin it.

Obviously $6 a month is no big deal to me, I don't like the idea of them holding the fans hostage to launch their new platform. I get why as a business but I'm a fan I don't care about their business model being a success or not. I care about seeing more of these characters I've followed for 35 years.

A New Beginning (Ha! what a misleading name) was the original movie with some character name changes.

That's what is so confusing. I completely trust Pegg, so either the trailers are bad or they monkeyed with the script he turned in?

I was gonna go with one of Padmé's body doubles is the character in the middle as some bizarre crossover with SW?

I really dig his work. It's nothing more than that, so I'm probably giving him the benefit of the doubt. Nothing really grounded in my hope that it’s truly the case.

This. I was hoping somebody with a life long fandom of the material would protect us from the Khan rewrites.

In the trailer where they are seemingly trying to make their big escape, is that a Scott Bakula era starship they're aboard? I guess that whole storyline took place before Nero's ship showing up, but it wouldn't explain how Archer and his crew found and operated that early era Constitution class USS Reliant, especially considering how the timeline took a hard left a few years later. That Reliant would be a different ship now, right?
Trying to keep convoluted time lines and alternate universes in order is hard work, apparently! |

But yeah, looks like Kirk and Sulu commandeer an NX class ship to save the day.

In ST 3 (of the rebooted series), we have Kirk and the crew commandeer a ship to go on their own mission. THOSE MOTHER ****ING COCK SUCKING DONKEY ****ING CHILD MOLESTING CHRIST KILLING PIECES OF SHIT. Why even bother changing the script at all?!?!?! These uninspired pieces of shit may as well have this new cast re-act/re-shoot the old script and call it a day. |

Well, this pretty much confirms Star Trek Beyond will suck
http://screenrant.com/star-trek-beyo...pine-cerebral/ Chris Pine: "You can’t make a cerebral Star Trek in 2016. It just wouldn’t work in today’s marketplace. You can hide things in there — Star Trek Into Darkness has crazy, really demanding questions and themes, but you have to hide it under the guise of wham-bam explosions and planets blowing up. It’s very, very tricky. The question that our movie poses is ‘Does the Federation mean anything?’ And in a world where everybody’s trying to kill one another all of the time, that’s an important thing. Is working together important? Should we all go our separate ways? Does being united against something mean anything?” |
