Is Dwayne Bowe the most overrated Chief ever?

I've been a fan since I can remember, which was just over 20 years ago. I know we have seen some overrated QB's here, but none of them were paid like Bowe at his position is and I can't think of another highly touted player who can't do his job in critical moments and has been thought of as quality for so long.

People also associate Bowe as the Chiefs 2nd best WR since Otis Taylor when in reality we haven't had a true #1 WR in how long?

What say you?

All the crying and bitching about Alex and no blame for Bowe and wr's and oline is not only funny but child like in its lack of any sense of big boy football.

What team in the NFL would take or wr or oline group? None. Yeah, half wouldn't take Alex over their qb but none would take our oline or wr's.

Yup. That's Reid's guy so it falls on his shoulders.

It isn't coaching. It's Smith.

The conservative play-it-safe- Alex Smith is THE fixed Alex Smith. The throw it around the field Smith is a bottom 5 QB. Harbaugh "fixed" him. Reid, for some unknown reason, though the fixed version was good enough. It isn't. He is who he is and he is a large part of what is holding the team back.

As soon as smith arrived we stopped hitting wide receivers, but yeah of course the problem is the receivers.

No, that would mean he's overPAID.
I don't fault Bowe for that. Many of us said the contract was way the hell out of line when Dorsey gave it to him.

They made due with the scraps that were there in 2013, wideouts had their TDs and Avery was getting thrown bombs on the 9 route until he hurt his shoulder. Then all of a sudden Dorsey thought it was okay to go into this season without adding to this position at all which proved to only expose the worthlessness of the younger prospects he was counting on like Hemmingway/Jenkins and Avery's brokedickness. So yeah, the QB position didn't change, the wideouts just got worse than they already were.
