I thought it was filled with great character moments that often got some dust in my eye and I liked the white tulip callback at the very end, but the plot/science/storyline problems with the episode were emblematic of the series' entire run. There were so many things in the last hour that would have made so much more of an impact if they'd been spread out over the whole season instead of just being what amounted to last minute revelations (all the stuff with Donald's emotional connection to Michael, etc).

That said, I'm sad that it's over, because we've lost yet another hour of high concept television, science fiction or otherwise. I'd rather watch one frustrating, even mediocre hour of Fringe than be subjected to 10,000 more hours of american idol, real housewives of wherever and bland cop/law/medical dramedy #3472.

Unfortunately most of the world disagrees.

For me, though, Fringe will be missed.
