2015 Fantasy Discussion

Drafts coming up in a couple weeks, and I haven't seen a thread yet.

Was wanting to get some input overrated players/sleepers/strategies etc.

I've been going back and forth on what I want to do with my 2nd rounder. I've done a few mocks, and I really want to take Luck in the 2nd.. but I just can't seem to get as good of a team that route.

Also for the later 1st round who do you take out of CJ Anderson, Jeremy Hill, and Demarco Murray? To me its between Murray and CJ.. Leaning towards Murray. I don't think there will be a huge dropoff for him this year like everyone else seems to think

Not a huge sleeper, but I've been taking Jordan Matthews in just about every mock. I think he is going to have a HUGE year and he will be great value. Even Agholor should be a good late pick. Also Martavis Bryant. I think they finally found the guy to take some pressure off of Antonio Brown. Lastly I like Ameer Abdullah.. he should be a great fit in that offense, and I saw that Bell is going to start the season on the PUP

Well, sure.

Likelihood? I think even if the offense isn't as good as last year's that LB and AB will be top 3 fantasy producers at their positions.

Yeah....I think I pretty much have to go WR with that 1st round pick. By the time the 3rd round comes around.....there won't be dick for WRS and I'll be scrambling all year.

As mentioned, nothing wrong with potentially two top three guys at their positions though.

Whelp just finished my draft... not too happy with it. I had the #6 pick in a 12 team, and knew this is a weak year for RB so I went Jeremy Hill. Ended up with some good rb's so I wish I would of went Antonio Brown there. Wanted Luck in the 2nd, but he didnt fall and so I went Demarco which isnt too bad. For WR's Jordan Matthews and Martavis Bryant once he gets back. I would much prefer they were my 2 and 3. I will be playing RB at flex all year long it's looking like

QB: Tannehill/Palmer
RB: Hill/Demarco/Randle/Mason/Jonas Gray
WR: Matthews/Bryant/Wright/Michael Floyd/Garcon
TE: Kelce
K: Walsh
Def: Rams

What do you guys think?

I've contemplated dropping Garcon for a TE. Eifert and Rudolph are still available. Also considered Palmer for Mariota.. he looks to be the real deal. And should get a chunk of rushing yards.

You are fine at TE. Eifert and Rudolph will probably be available in three weeks as well.

Palmer for Mariota is interesting.. I agree on the rushing yards. I think I would consider it, for the upside of Mariota. Tannehill's bye week is week five though, so maybe you keep Palmer until then? Good chance Palmer doesn't make it the full year this year either, if their last preseason game was any indication.

If you want Mariota, you could go untraditional and drop Garcon for him. Then, drop Palmer or something after week 5.

I'm a bit more concerned about the question marks on your RB's, behind Hill.

Demarco - old and new offense with lots of competition with Matthews and Sproles
Randle - Lots of competition
Mason - When will Gurley become the starter

i'm in a 10 person league with 4 bench spots , so basically everyone has lots of good players

tried zero RB theory for fun, got A. Brown, D. Thomas, and J. Matthews for first 3 WRS, very happy with that

RBs ended up L. Murray...then i reached for A. Abdullah, D. Martin and C. Ivory

so, question for week 1....one starter and one flex from:

Martin
Ivory
Abdullah

?

For going that route....you got 3 decent RBs in Murray, Martin and Ivory. They aren't top 10 material...but they should get you decent enough points.
