Adding a true #1 WR?
Anyone else see this article? Thoughts on a possible Alex Smith + (2nd-3rd round pick?) for Sammy Watkins? Is it within the realm of possibility?

Conley was 62nd in receptions and 70th in yards among WRs in 2016. That's the bottom of the #2 range. With Alex Smith as your QB and the emergence of Hill as a slot, I'd say you shouldn't have expect more from the guy in his 2nd NFL season. The guy dramatically improved his production from year 1 to year 2. All this BS about Conley not developing into a #2 is complete bullshit. He ran open alot last year too and ****nuts didn't get him the football.

Next years draft/free agency focus needs to be ILB, DB, OLB, RB, WR and anything DEFENSE. Watson is a victim of the Bills system just like C. J. Spiller. They tried to make him a Jerome Bettis when he was clearly an edge runner. Watkins to me is a prime example of being "thrown to the wolves". He is a great WR but is in the wrong system with Tyrod Taylor @ QB. The Chiefs do not need a TRUE #1 WR UNTIL they have a QB that HE can benefit from. Hello 2019. Maclin, Conley and Wilson will all be gone when PM2 becomes the starting QB. By then, Watkins will not be in the conversation.

IMO, Hill needs to be the feature player this year. His presence alone is such a huge distraction for a defense that at least one of our other players is going to have a fantastic mismatch. Kelce, Mac, Ware, Hunt or Conley and the occasional TE2 that Andy dials up in key moments.

Hill will get one of them free.

And that's all when he DOESNT get the ball. He's a ****ing nightmare.
