I figure there are some motorcycle guys/gals on CP, so I thought we could have a place to talk all things Motorcycles.

Tire Mount and Balance Prices (as of 10/29/16)

Prices based on if you remove the wheels yourself and bring the wheels and new tires with you:

Cycle Gear - $35 per wheel if you buy tires from them. $58 per wheel if you buy tires elsewhere
Rawhide - $65 per wheel (assuming it would be the same at other HD dealers. they book it at 1/2 hr per wheel)
C R Cycle Tires (DeSoto) - $30 per wheel

Cheapest I've found my Michelin Commander II's. Seem like they have good prices on other brands too.

went on a large benefit ride today; my god, of the probably 50 bikes, I'd say at least 5 of them were terrible riders. constantly accelerating / slowing down within the group; ignoring the obvious pack of staggered riders; the dudes and one gal could NOT turn at all. 60 mph sweeper (posted speed limit 55mph)....yeah, better slow it down to 35. Oh, and while you're fighting against the physics of the bike, it would be cool if you could come over into my portion of the lane. and those left hand turns....better slow all the way down to about 5mph....then immediately red-line it through the gears after your'e straight again.

god damn I hated it.

Sounds like one of those assholes that just has to get a bike to be cool and hasn't been on a bike in either many many years or not at all

Went on a ride with a few buddies of mine across Texas a few years ago..had a guy like that in a group that knew one of my friends..he talked about how awesome his bike was and all he had done to it..that bag of dicks couldn't ride to save his life

hit a small patch of rain that made the road wet..he wanted to stop..got to Big Bend park.had some twists in it..20 mph

I had to ride across Texas with this cock gobbler..2 damn days of riding behind him and listening to him flap his cock holster about how bad ass he was

pretty much. one dude was riding a wide glide wearing shorts. lol. He's really good at railing the throttle in a straight line. everything else?....not so much.

It was horrible. I did find a place in the pack that was with much better riders. but that one 50 mile leg was brutal.
should've seen his face when I did nearly a 360 turn in the span of about 8'- 10' to line up to park. meanwhile he was doing his best 30 point turn about to get his bike parked.

I never liked group rides. If forced, I will sit BEHIND the tail gunner, on my own.
