Top free agents shunned KC in the past: now not so much.
In the past 35 years with all the hot garbage we had here as QBs, we would be at the bottom of the barrel for any top quality free agents when they considered a trade or to sign with a new team. Only Joe Montana brought interest until now.

A by-product of finally having our own QBOTF and a great one at that, players and their agents see Kansas City as a great landing spot to finally get to the promised land!

Another positive from the Mahomes effect!

Yeah duh - ****ing horse face continuing to screw us forever.

My biggest fear was that after retiring Manning would immediately become the offensive coordinator for the Broncos and condemn us to 20 years of hell. I guess he looked at the long hours and decided he'd rather make Papa John's commercials.

Was just talking about this w/ a friend group text over the phone this morning.

How many FA's, esp on offense, are going to want to sign w/ KC knowing they're going to get the ball and score pts in this offense?

Money ultimately talks but when the money's the same or similar, usually "chance of winning, playing/succeeding etc" is usually the deciding factor. Maybe location too. Don't see too many people dying to play in cold weather. At least I wouldn't if I had the choice, unless if the $ is right

And D players could sign if Mahomes leads KC to deep playoff run, knowing their path to a SB is more possible here than somewhere else.

Its usually almost always about money though.

Money talks but situation matters. Watch the video of Calais Campbell choosing between his hometown Denver and Jacksonville. He knew who was gonna be good and who would suck.

Also my father in law taught him in Denver and was so sad when he didn’t come home.
