As well, as I mentioned previously, it would be a much easier sell to a fan base than a backup RT or special teams player (Jordan) for the first couple of years of their career at least.

And make no mistake, a fan base is an important thing to have. While Reid and Dorsey probably don't factor this in in terms of what they want out of a player, I'm pretty sure that Clark Hunt is well aware of it, especially after this past season where banners were flying over his stadium, fan attendance dropped, black outs during games, etc.

But that's the furthest thing from my mind in terms of that draft pick. I just want this team to get one right. And as I see it, Geno is as good a prospect for the QB position as I've seen in the last decade outside of a guy named Luck at that stage.
This. Everyone talks about how he wouldn't be a top QB in any other QB class. I'm wondering, other than last year, when in the last 10 yrs would he not have been in the discussion?

Point exactly. There still hypnotized by last years qb class.

2004. Had Eli, Rivers and Roethlisberger all in the top 11.

Haha NFL.com says Genos two biggest weaknesses are that he didnt take a lot of snaps from under center and he cant throw against the blitz.

Actually Geno had 10% better against the Blitz than RG3.

Very insightful video, say what you will about chucky being overly optimistic he knew good questions to ask geno and helped me, as a general football fan, see more about geno. I admitted to only seeing a couple games and stand by the "stop using generic stats" to prove a QBs worth; ie - geno makes a lot of short passes and check downs like the infamous casshole critics.

But I have just been won over. Kid is football smart and plays the game as a football artist. I am a geno fan. Would love to see us draft him, but more importantly, if we don't, I now want to see if his college game translates to the NFl.

This is why I like chucky. He did a much better interview than mooch did. I know mooch's was a quick meet and greet but he didn't even scratch the surface or make me see anything to inspire a desire to see more in this kid. But chucky did.

Maybe that was Geno failing to inspire you. I hear he has trouble with that sometimes.

Doesn't seem to be the case around here.

Geno has inspired damn near everyone on this board.

Guys who have advocated drafting offensive tackles every ****ing draft love Geno.

Guys who have advocated drafting sub-standard douchetards (Clausen, Sanchez) love Geno.

Guys who usually don't give a rats ass about the draft love Geno.

Geno has definitely inspired.

Geno has given us hope.

I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me Geno or give me death!!!

I'm not going that far or anything. It was a good interview. He seems to really really like and understand the qb position. I will root for the kid to have success no matter where he's selected. I also am interested in see more of the gruden camps
