Zombo - OUT?

Frank Zombo - LB - Chiefs

ESPN's Adam Teicher expects the Chiefs to move on from OLB Frank Zombo.
With Tanoh Kpassagnon and second-rounder Breeland Speaks the Chiefs' top EDGE backups, Zombo isn't needed behind Justin Houston and Dee Ford. It should be an easy decision for the Chiefs to cut Zombo. Kansas City can save $1.2 million from Zombo's release.

If/when the Chiefs move on from Sherman, it would probably be a trade. I won't be surprised if Dorsey does a deal with the Chiefs for one or more players.

Oh how I'll remember the time in the playoffs when all we needed was to stop the run on 3rd and long to get one last chance. And Zombo got pancake blocked by Mariota and Henry got around the edge and scampered on for a first down to ice the game.

Zombo is useless. He should be cut or 3rd string.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I don't like seeing Zombo rush the passer, but he is a good special teams player.

Mr. Veech is serious about upgrading this defense. Zombo is the weakest link.

He might be the slowest player since Mauga.

Hulk Bailey and Dirty Dan should be next.

Use the cap space to bring in a vet O linemen or a Corner.

Cutting Bailey this year would be incredibly stupid

This. Most under-rated player on the team imo.

While I like Sherman I don’t think he’ll be as needed with Mahomes. Pretty sure we’re one of the few teams left who still implement the FB.

Completely agree. When healthy, he is a dominate player....especially in the run game. He played hurt nearly all year in 2017.
