Had they allowed take-downs in the 3rd and kicks in the 6th, I might have been inclined to pay to watch. I still wouldn't have thought it would make it to the 3rd, and FM might have made sure if it know that would be the end of the fight, but FM was smart enough to ensure it remained 100% his style.

Thats not why I use to watch boxing. I like seeing them go at it. ManOManO. I understand that puts their short term and long term health at risk.

When I was young I use to box, then went on to a black belt in Kung Fu. I know the inner anger and fury that motivates most fighters. I use to fight all the time. I dont think I could ever be a fan of boxing again with these defensive fighters being the best in the ring. If I was them, I would do the same thing. Make the money but lessen your health risks. But, to be honest watching the violence reminds me that violence still exists in me and I dont like that one bit. Football doesn't.

I think its obvious that if it was MMA rules, Conor wins. Or maybe he is in better boxer shape and didn't tire, that maybe it turns out different?

Funny that in those rounds McGregor supposedly won he was landing 9/34, 8/42, and 9/39. Basically Floyd just watched him for 3 rounds and then dominated.

No, he lost the fight, but he stunned most of us by going 10.

To me, even in the loss, it shows why MMA is replacing boxing.

Thats kind of how i saw it too. Floyd basically was just patient and was figuring him out. The tide turned once Mayweather changed his strategy around the 5th and 6th and went more offensive. Maybe that was the plan all along? I know the last 2 or 3 rounds McGregor looked completely gassed.

I really wish to have seen McGregor fight a few fights in the boxing ring before stepping up to someone with the experience of Mayweather. He really just took a payday and ran. And I don't blame him one bit. Having said that, McGregor needs a lot of conditioning and more boxing fights under his belt.

Matter of a fact. I wouldn't doubt to see Mayweather's team to be a part of Conor's future in boxing.

It's a win for mcgregor in the big picture. A smart guy like you I imagine runs his own business/brand and should be able to see why he won whether he was knocked out in the 1st or even won a decision. Don't be as dumb as you sound with this moral stuff. It's about branding and promotion. Mcgregor won.

This wasn't a fight it was sports entertainment and marketing/branding/promotion. No one lost anything in this fight besides people who paid for it, and even they were entertained. They all made sure everyone won, and they did. Including McGregor.

They need to not call boxing "a fight" i don't rmember a fight where you can turn you back from not getting punched or duck your head to not get punched.
