Free agent WR Anquan Boldin has a visit set up but with which team? MY SOURCE SAYS US

Is it us ? hmm... My source says yep ! Exciting !

The Kansas City Chiefs could use some competition at receiver which is why I noticed that Anquan Boldin is still a free agent and has a visit set up with the “mystery team” sometime soon. It was previously reported that Boldin wanted to sign somewhere around training camp time, which is coming up.

NFL receiver Anquan Boldin told me he's had conversations with a number of teams about signing & has a visit set up for Sunday.

There is no doubt the Chiefs, who ranked 3rd worst n RZ pass success & 5th worst in 3rd down pass success, sorely could use him.

At 36 Boldin is past his prime but he still put up eight touchdowns last year in Detroit. He had 1,000 yard seasons as recently as 2013 and 2014. The Chiefs have a bunch of young guys at receiver so I would be interested in adding someone like Boldin, a savvy veteran who clearly has been doing something right to stay in the league since 2003. I’m looking to replace the veteran leadership that Jeremy Maclin brought.

Over The Cap has the Chiefs with about $11 million in cap space so they could afford it. Boldin probably wants to play for a contender at this stage of his career and the Chiefs fit there. I don’t know the scheme fit here but based on Boldin’s resume I would be interested.

This is a nice video on what Boldin has left. He’s lost a step but can still contribute.

Honestly Kelce is the #1 receiving option in this offense. Hill is the #2. I understand that Kelce is a tight end but he is by far the #1 option

This seems more like establishing a veteran presence in the WR room than anything. I wouldn't be mad at it

Keep in mind, Maclin is no longer on the team and Conley is dug in at #2.

The real question is whether or not Robinson or Chesson ready to be the #3 targeted WR this season.
Hey Dane, I hesitate to mention this (I mean I REALLY hesitate to mention this), but you forgot to mention Mr Albert Wilson as also vying for the #3 WR slot!

Also, I noticed you got in a little Jason Avant shot earlier. Man, you never forget!!!

Actually, I think you're probably right. Albert better up his catch radius or he's gonna be toast.

I don't hate Albert Wilson and actually think he would be quite good but it seems like he doesn't care or show effort, alligator arms the football thrown to him

I bet they had to give him a tryout to avoid an age discrimination lawsuit.

I won't be shocked if Robinson beats Conley out for the #2 job. I mean, I'm not saying he will, but if he plays well in camp like he did during OTAs... he needs to play a lot.

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Great offenses have more than on excellent target.

Just like Witten and Dez, the Chiefs need a True #1 and to go along with Kelce.

If they don't, they'll continue to struggle in the Red Zone.

Currently, the Chiefs have Kelce, maybe Hill and a bunch of unknowns and unproven players.

It's not an enviable situation.

Even if they had a "true" #1, they would STILL struggle in the Red Zone. Until changes are made a year from now.
