I would still take Emmanuel Sanders.

Every time this year CBS said "what a great signing by Denver" it made my skin crawl considering he agreed to sign with us. Even if he didn't help us, he would have not been in Denver. Now that Denver lost it doesn't hurt as bad. Still would have liked to see what Smith would have done with Sanders, despite my lack of optimism.

The truth is those were excellent moves for a win-now franchise. The only thing the franchise forgot is that Peyton Manning will always fail in the postseason. It's ingrained in his DNA.

Basically, the Donk fans are pissed off that their team is in a great position to build a solid foundation, but that it will take time. They're basically pissed off that they have to play by the same rules that all the other teams have to do in building their teams. I'd still rather be in their position with the chance to start off fresh with a new head coach and all that maneuverable cap space, with no pressure whatsoever to re-sign big pieces of the puzzle. They can simply choose to let some of their talent walk and make this a bigger project if they wish. |

They should have paid Decker and Beadles.
Huge loss for their offense that wasn't replaced. |

Further proof loading up in FA doesn't work.

They didn't win it all, but imagine their record without those FA additions. I contend those FAs or at least, some of them made them a better team. Peyton was a FA and improved them by a large margin.

Old QBs don't win Super Bowls.
A lesson re-learned.

Once a qb accounts for more than 10 percent of your cap, SB window gets really small
