Broncos Offense vs Chiefs Defense

Been listening to a lot of NFL talk radio and the Chiefs Broncos game in Denver comes up quite a bit. Just wondering how you guys think we matchup against their WR's? who would you put on who if you were Bob Sutton?

I think:

WR Eric Decker - Sean Smith
WR Demaryius Thomas - Marcus Cooper
WR Wes Welker - Brandon Flowers
TE Julius Thomas (6'5''!!) - ??Abdullah, Demps, Berry, or one of our LB's? He is a must cover, just not sure who should draw the assignment. None of our CB's other than Smith come close to his height a few of our LB's are close too but 6'5'' is huge?

What does the planet brain trust think?

I think you put Smith on Thomas. Smith is bigger. You put Cooper on Decker and Flowers on Welker and Berry on Julius.

I think this defense might be the only one in the NFL that can shut them down.

Denver needs to worry about that pumped up Colts team and those rabid fans that HATE Manning now.

Chiefs will have their hands full with the Texans D.

You mean Smith on Julius and Berry on Demaryius? Not bad but Berry is still giving up 3" on Demaryius

We're not going to "shut them down". If we can keep them under 30 it will be an accomplishment.

Yep but we can't count on Flowers at all- he might not even be playing. Yes the Best Offense verse the Best D. It will be epic with a possible home field advantage and division title on the line.

If Orlando Franklin goes out for a while, then Julius Thomas will be staying in to block a lot. One less guy to worry about.

And Smith should get D. Thomas
Cooper - Decker
Flowers - Welker
Hali and Houston - Manning
