A lot of it was pretty cool and some of it was really stupid. That's the first time I really, really disliked a Samuel L Jackson performance. He was bitterly disappointing to me.

It was a spoof on bad guys in big films. Hell, the whole film was a spoof on spy movies.

Plus, you've got two Jedi interacting outside the Star Wars universe (just tied that shit in with the thread. BOOM).

Oh, yeah, I enjoyed that aspect of it. By the way; many years ago I was a fast food manager. I had a guy named Geoffrey on drive through once and he was a large, chubby awkward kid. He looked like Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons. I walked over to check on him and he spun around - knocking all of the straws onto the floor. This was while ST:TNG was on the air. So I just froze and looked at him. Then I said, "Geoffrey. In Drive Thru. When the straws fell." Shook my head and walked away. He lost it. Couldn't stop giggling even to pick the straws up.

I enjoyed TFA despite recognizing all of it's flaws. The next film will be critical to this franchise.

BTW - There was a shit ton of ridiculous and unnecessary CGI in TFA
By CG I meant more the prequels, where every scene has 1000 ships flying around in the background, where Anakin rides a hovercraft over miles of lava, or the utterly abominable fight scene between Yoda and Dookoo which was the all time low point, outside of Jar Jar

The scenes looked like real places with one or two special effects layered in which gave it a much more realistic feel. More like the first 3. Just made it superior

Is it at all possible that Leia might be the top bad guy?

She went to console the new Jedi super-star, even before Chewie, just to get on her good side.

She basically sent Han to his death, probably knowing her son would shank him.

Anakin was good once, but turned bad because he didn't know how to control his emotion. Leia is a female, so she obviously will have emotional issues.

Watched some bonus features today.

Scotty and Brianna were in the movie.

The snow racer deleted scene was one of the worst VFX scenes ever. Worse than the 70's. They shouldn't have even put it in the bonus material.

I haven't had a chance to see any of it yet. Do you think they were going for cheesy, like an homage to the OT?

Also, did you get the Target version?

I received the Blu Ray/DVD/Digital Copy yesterday but only made it about 10 minutes before falling asleep on the sofa last night, so I haven't seen much of anything yet, either.

Regarding the deleted scene, it's most likely a "Pre Viz" scene or pre-visualization. Pre Viz are the computer models that are used to create a VFX scene and it may have been decided that the scene would be deleted before the VFX team completed the final render.
