All-time, Nebraska leads the series 78–15–2. Kansas State also lost 29 consecutive games to Nebraska, lasting from 1969 to November 14, 1998

It's hard to be classy about that kind of dominance.

Dude, I embrace that, hell, I lived through 4 years of that as a student at K-State. That doesn't bother me in the least. It actually makes what we have accomplished since 1989 that much sweeter.

Besides, we were a basketball school prior to 1989

I had to bust out the trump card given you guys had infiltrated the thread and were celebrating at our expense.

As an outsider, K State is an easy program to like. Not flashy, but you play consistently great football. Given our recent string of suckage, I'm jealous.

I've heard that people are upset with Brian Griese for comments he made during the game.

What did he say?

Something to the effect that maybe NU should embrace the fact that 9 wins is more the new standard than competing for a NC every year. I actually think it was his side kick, and not Griese.

Also, I think he's right. NU has a ridiculously high opinion of themselves in the college football world. NU is one of only 2 teams that has won at least 9 games over the last 6 years, and probably 7 after you beat Iowa next week. That is pretty ****ing aweome. But, NU hasn't competed for a NC since they were gifted a spot in 2002 Game. However, the insanity that is NU fan still believes they should be a part of the NC conversation EVERY year. You know, because Nebraska...

This is exactly why I hated the team and the fans for so long. Now? Not so much because they're not nearly as bad. Their sense of entitlement was stripped after the several 50+ point beat downs they received from teams like Texas Tech etc.
The fans are almost tolerable now. I hate Pelini more than anything these days and I consistently root for him to fail. His shit is old and NU needs a big name coach. CFB is better when they're good.

I didn't see that you had posted that, William. I listened to him say that, and was shocked that he was willing to speak the truth on TV. But, that is the truth. Nebraska's new, new, is probably 9 wins, 10 with a a bowl game. ****, I'd take that every day of the week and twice on Saturday's. With that, you probably are looking at a NC shot every 10-15 years. But, to think that you are going to have another run like you had in the 90's, every decade, is delusional.

It's okay for you to miss it. But a MUtt? They need to be led by a noose most of huge time anyway.

This thread needed some posts anyway. The Husker threads are pretty much dead now that you're gone from the region.

Have you ever searched for a thread titled
"An Open Letter To Bill Callahan"? by Sam Hall

If not, you should. It's hilarious.
