Anyone whose introduction to the Star Wars universe was through Episodes I-III have, obviously, ended up watching the OT or have spit on the ground and vowed to never watch another SW related film again.

PREQUEL FANS DO NOT EXIST, they can't possibly exist.
Who would they relate to? Padme? Qui Gon Jinn? Jar Jar Binks?

Any true fan of Star Wars has seen the OT and can see the glaring weaknesses of I-III after watching.

No offense to Ewan, but Lucas' horrifyingly bad dialogue for Obi Wan in I-III has dry ****ed the character for any future films.

Like I've said, Obi Wan can be a big part of the cartoons, for the hard core, but Lucas managed to ruin the character through the prequels just like he ruined any mystery behind the Force... Midichlorians.

I hate the prequels. I think they're unwatchable. But to say there aren't people out there who love the prequels is just being myopic. There's a whole generation of kids (now adults) for whom the prequels are Star Wars.

Children. Children absolutely LOVE Jar Jar.

There are Jedi Academies in Los Angeles in which three year olds can attend. There's an hourly show at Disneyland in which Darth Maul & Darth Vader appear and have a light saber battle with Padawans and other Jedi. The majority of the kids were shown Episode 1 before Episode 4 and therefore relate to Anakin and Jar Jar before Luke, Han & Leia.

Personally, I thought Qui Gon was awesome and I was really bummed that he was killed in TPM because he was the epitome of what I thought a Jedi should be based on the OT.

Agreed.

Did you see Neeson in 'Ted 2'?

Nope, haven't seen it yet.

The worst part about the Prequels was that Anakin was the least interesting character. It would have been more fun to see at least one more movie featuring Darth Maul, Kenobi and Qui Gon.

I haven't seen JW but from the look of the trailers, the acting was pitiful. Can this be a good thing?

Colin Trevorrow To Direct Episode IX

Hot off his massive success on Jurassic World , super hot director Colin Trevorrow has bagged his next gig.

Today at the Star Wars Comic Con panel, Lucasfilm will bring out Colin Trevorrow onto the stage at Hall H to announce him as the next director of Star Wars: Episode 9!

JJ Abrams directed Episode 7, Rian Johnson got Episode 8, and now Colin Trevorrow got Episode 9. The trilogy is complete. Hot choice. Jurassic World has grossed a $1.4 billion dollars around the world and still climbing.

Stay tuned as more develops because you're going to be hearing a lot more over this story.

Chris Pratt literally made that movie stick.. he was the only one with A+ acting imo. To be fair, JW wasn't meant to be so heavy in character dev. so the acting was passable.

SW is another monster and i think it will be great.. great minds are working on this new trilogy

If you guys have never read Blue Milk Special you should. He's done a comic for almost every scene in the entire trilogy.

Star Wars: Episode VII
Posted July 10 2015 — 2:04 PM EDT
Start the fanfare – author Chuck Wendig is getting his own Star Wars trilogy.

In Aftermath, due in stores Sept. 4, the sci-fi/fantasy scribe has penned the history of what happened to the Rebellion after the destruction of the second Death Star in Return of the Jedi. Even though the Emperor was killed and Darth Vader was redeemed, the war was very far from over – and Wendig’s story will be Lucasfilm canon that helps set up J.J. Abrams’ The Force Awakens.

Today Del Rey books has announced Wendig will also write two more books in the series, further bridging the gap between the original movie trilogy and the new one coming in December.

The titles haven’t been released, and little of the plot of Aftermath is known yet, but the publisher used Wendig’s appearance at Comic-Con today to announce that even though fans don’t know what they’ll be getting … they’ll be getting a lot more of it.

Wendig is known for holding court on pop culture on his blog TerribleMinds.com, and has amassed a passionate cult-fandom from novels such as Blackbird, about a woman named Miriam Black who can touch people to see how they will die, and The Blue Blazes, about a father and daughter warring in a clash between the criminal underworld and the supernatural realm.

Still won't be as good as the Thrawn trilogy.
