And yet this was the only year that they've lost down the stretch as much as they did. Was this the first year they decided to not try?

Agreed, which is why I said "in the same ballpark."

Durant is being unfairly pilloried in this regard. LeBron is the OG of jumping ship to make life easier on himself. And he did it twice.

Hardly. But judging by their excellent playoff performance, it looks like it was the first year they coasted to that extent down the stretch.

But I don't think Durant did anything wrong. He made the decision that he wouldn't be able to beat the Warriors in OKC and joined them instead. If he didn't, he'd have never won anything at all and that would be far worse for him/his legacy.

In your opinion. Personally I hold Barkley and The Mailman in higher regards than Durant.

Yeah, but you called it "pulling a Durant."

No. That's "pulling a LeBron."

And he looks far worse because he literally abandoned teammates who helped him win a championship.

He's a frontrunner. That's why his personality takes a sharp 180 when things don't go his way. And he's setting a poor example for younger players, like Durant, who evidently decided "pulling a LeBron" is the way to conduct your career now.

Who's next? Anthony Davis? Blake Griffin? Sad.

The Cavs were the same when they picked LeBron. Even WITH him they didn't make the playoffs the first two years of his career.

I have no idea how that relates to Anthony Davis playing for a terrible Pelicans franchise.

This is year SIX of him there, not year 2. So what he's suppose to stay there for 10 years in hopes the franchise gets him a real teammate?

And no, Demarcus Cousins sucks he's not a real teammate.

But let's assume that he loses this series and continues to lose for the rest of his career as long as this version of the Warriors exists. Wouldn't going to the Warriors after this season be the better option in that equation?
What a ridiculous and stupid statement.

They sure as hell aren't going to win if he gets outplayed by Kevin Durant

I wish that was true, but the Cavs simply are not capable of stopping a Warriors with both Curry and Durant. Nobody is. LeBron could play just as well as he did last year and it wouldn't be enough.

Lebron can't seem to stop Durant.

And you say he's better than Jordan.

Heh

Yes because if he went to the proven champion Warriors after just losing to them, that would be doing exactly what Durant did.
