You can't do the subscription until you have a code to enter (it's a different code than the pre-order code, the one you need is the one that actually comes with the copy of your game). I don't think anybody in the US has one yet. They'll start sending the digital codes this week, and those of us getting physical copies will get our code when we get our box.

Well, no 6am email allowing me in to play. I am sad.
Also there is a page now that shows "Getting ready to play" On there it checks marks everything you need to do to be in the right state to play the game as of December 20th. The odd thing it shows for me at least I have not redeemed a product registration code. And I look at my "code redemption" area and it shows I did. So I am confused. Bleh guess I will be writing something to customer support soonish. |

I was in about 6:15 this morning, but didn't get my email until about 6:45.
I've just finished creating my 8th and final character on the server. Now I get to play! |

Wow, the nerd rage is pretty high over on the SWTOR Customer Support forums. Pretty amusing, actually. However, BioWare could have handled the communication quite a bit better. Mainly by not having a big empty checkbox saying that you need to redeem a product code. And speaking of codes...
Keg, in your early access email, did you get another code that you had enter on your account page? Did you have to set up a subscription? (not sure if they required it since you get 30 days free) |

So dumb. I tried to redeem my code when I ordered the game in mid-august. It didn't take the first several times I tried. So naturally, I forgot about it until I beta tested in November. I am very irritated right now. Why I should have had to enter a pre-order code when I ordered through origins is BEYOND me. EA can't connect its subsidiaries or something?

From what it looks like, you don't need a product reg. key to play the early access. by 12/20 you will need to have one to keep playing though.

I try to put in the product code in the account page but it says it has already been used.
The product code I got was just from going to the Origin launcher and clicking "game details"... Are you supposed to get an e-mail with a different code?

It sounds like the "Redeem a Product Registration Code" is your pre-order code, and will be checked once you get your early access email (ie, you won't need to enter it again).

You entered the "serial key" from your order details?

Yes, that's always been the case. All you need right now is the pre-order code. Although if you do enter a product registration key now than you will access whatever items your account level can unlock (i.e. DDE or CE items). But to play early access, you must have a pre-order code, and people are being allowed in based upon when those codes were applied to their accounts.

It's probably for the best, man. These games are so ridiculously good, they completely swallow you up and take over your life. I'm almost apprehensive about TOR because I know what it's capable of doing to me.
