I realize this is the Raiders.

I realize the Raiders are dysfunctional.

But this is a home run trade for them. If any team but Oakland made this deal, we'd all be saying it's clear highway robbery.

We're still light years better than they are, but this obviously narrows the gap that could close further if they hit on their draft with all of those picks (a big "if," granted).

I think it's been pretty consistent until this move and this situation is really unique. This is likely a very good move for the raiders given the contract is staying at 3 years

I think this makes the Peters trade look way better, people raged when the Chiefs didn't get much for him but this just shows, if it's known that a player has issues and that you have to get rid of him, it's an impossible bargaining position.

It was a good move because Peters sucked this year.

He only started playing better when the NFL started allowing DBs to grab and mug receivers

Plenty of teams would've made the trade, us included. It was the new contract he wanted that was the hold up for most.

Yea the trade by itself is great trade on paper.

It just feels like Gruden lacks direction when he trades two young studs for picks because he doesn’t want to pay them then adds a 31 year old diva WR that’s losing his ****ing mind and pays him. Those moves screamed rebuild while this one screams win now.
