K-State Advances to the Elite 8

Wildcats played a helluva game tonight. Dominated Kentucky from the very start. Even without their best player, Dean Wade. K-State played a really aggressive man defense the overwhelming majority of the game. It completely flustered the young Kentucky team. Incredible game to watch. More tourney brackets ****ed all to hell. LOL...

I agree with almost everything you said but you left out one thing, HEART! These kids make up the difference because of Heart. They believe in themselves and don"'t give up, refuse to lose mentality.

If he returns for his senior season, he will be a force to be reckoned with that not even Weber's incompetence can hide. Add in the fact that all of KSU's lineup could return, the talent is truly there to make a run.

Jury's out on whether Weber can capitalize on it, though.
Those are a LOT of qualifications for this team to reach elite. For fun, we may have to revisit this thread next year to see where they land.

The disappointment I feel today is they got smoked in the first 6 minutes and it was never a game. That shows/tells me that it's really a weak team that got very lucky.

Next year? 6 seed, KO'd in the second round.

With Wade - 3 seed KO'd in the Sweet Sixteen.

Without - ??!?!

With Wade I think the ceiling is a 3 and the floor should be a 6. Any lower and Weber should co-coach Pitt with Kim Anderson.

KU, Villanova or Duke are all far superior teams to any of those teams on the left side of the bracket. Just watching the FS Vs.M their passing is sloppy, they set screens sloppy, no guards that can hang with any of the 3 mentioned.

The right side of this years bracket is going to dominate the left when they meet in the championship.
