To whichever mod shut down the moderation discussion...

You've proved my point. There was no reason to close that thread as it remained respectful throughout and there was some good conversation happening. You shut it down hoping it'd fall out of the Lounge. Ignoring a problem will not make it go away. And you've hardened my resolve to see positive change.

Whoever did it, I call for you to step down as a mod. You've overstepped your purpose, and it's time you lost the privilege. I call on the other mods to hold this person accountable for making a mockery of your position.

I would call on my fellow CP members who agree that moderation here is full of holes and double standards to stand up and say this is not OK.

Oh horse shit, It had regressed into you beating a dead horse talking to yourself. I had no problem with the thread at all because it proved the point that most people around here don't have a problem with this sight, not unlike this one is doing.

Thank you for the response.

So what I'm talking about isn't even a vote or discussion about actions, but making a clear cut standard operating procedure. If you do this, x happens. As it is, I hope you'd agree, it's very arbitrary. When you deal with humans, we are fallible and we can succumb to emotion. So where you might slap someone on the wrists for an infraction, someone else might ban them for two days. And while some posters get away with x, someone else gets thread privileges taken away.

Modding like that leads to inconsistency. A document providing to all what happens when certain things occur would only help define it for the mods, as well as the users. It would take the guesswork out of much of the process.

You're ignoring the not inconsequential number of folks that said I was right.

But you've already recused yourself from civil discourse on the matter. So why are you now interested in discussing it?

There are 7 total on MU right now out of over 6600 registered users.

Scrolling through banned users with a significant number of posts in the past year... Backwards Masking, Bruiser, Exoter175, frazod, KChiefer, BlackBob mults.

I'm outraged just thinking about those guys.

I have no idea. But what about everyone that's been "messed with" "as a joke" that never get reset back? Bug has been Baconeater for 9 months. Deberg lost thread starting privileges "as a joke" and got those back just recently.

Holy shit the mods have their own longe? They probably get to smoke in there and everything.
