Anyone remember last years fluff piece about Fisher putting on 10 pounds of "good weight"?

Now he says that wasn't exactly good weight...

Fluff piece is fluff...ya know when I'll believe he put on 20-30 pounds of muscle? When I see him not get raped by James Harrison's corpse.

Agreed. It's fluff. My takeaway from the story is he seems to be working hard at conditioning.

I couple that with yhe fact that he can add much needed upper body strength this offseason I ways he couldn't the previous 2.

So if he's working hard and following a good strength program that undoubtedly includes upper body strength, that's good news. That's my takeaway.

When you're taken at 1.1 as a lineman, you're kinda expected to play like Anthony Munoz. (who was 3rd overall).

At this point we're just hoping he can be average.

I would still love to see the Chiefs work on an extension with him. It would be a gamble, to be sure, but his 5th year player option is simply cost prohibitive as a 1st overall pick. As such, he's 2 years away from FA. If you're going to get an extension done, you'd like to do it while he still has 2 seasons of potential injury in front of him before hitting the market, thus convincing him to come to the table.

If you wait until his walk year, he's only 16 games away from FA and he's likely to take his chances ala Hudson at that point. If you can get him now, you have a chance to get him at below market. If he doesn't develop, you'll have made a failed gamble but I think he'll develop nicely.

Top 10 tackle is absolutely a realistic expectation for him.
