The worst thing family does on holidays...
Just interested in things family, in-laws, friends do to meals on Thanksgiving holidays?

Is it packaged gravy mix? Boxed stuffing? Burned turkey?

I've got a few... my father-in-law goes all out. From scratch everything. Except he throws the turkey drippings down the sink and makes McCormick's packaged gravy.

But that's not even the worst. He microwaves his turkey. Not even kidding. It's horrifying. But to be fair, it doesn't taste as bad as it sounds.

Idk why I just remembered this but one Thanksiving probably 15 years ago, a couple of my cousins brought over their game system to play some Madden. As they were hooking it up my grandma turned to my aunt and asked if it would hurt her TV.

My family has scattered a bit and comes together for Xmas, not Thanksgiving. The typical cast is: me (occasionally a GF), mom, aunt, sister and her 3 young daughters (my BIL doesn't come).

Thats 6 or 7 women that don't care about sports (aka turkey day football), so I sit in the corner streaming the games while the big TV has cartoons about princesses.

Being told to wear something nice. If I want to spend my holiday in a t-shirt and sweatpants that's my business. I miss my family but I enjoy a good orphan thanksgiving. I told my roommates I'll chip in whatever money is needed but I'm not helping to cook anything and I'm not waking up before 930. Especially when I have to work on Friday and Saturday.

I moved from KC 27 years ago. We never go back for TG because it is just too short to make it worthwhile. We eat what we want when we want and just have a relaxed day with the three of us. We do a full tradional Thanksgiving meal. Grocery shopping cooking and cleanup takes a grand total of 8 hours spread over 3 days and we eat off it for 4 days, watch football, catch a movie, catch up on work, and just take it easy. Great holiday.

I am meh thankgiving, when I was a kid the girl I was dating (high school) had a great family drinking and eating and football and cards shit going
my favorite thanksgiving since I moved to AZ, the younger cousin came in with his new girlfriend and she looked at me and said whats the score, I told him she was a keeper, they have been married 7 years now have twin boys
me and her drank beer and watched the game,while the rest of them told stories of what they used to do, I swear if I was 10 years younger at the time I would have tried to steal her, great chick
