Dee Milliner

*IF* it isn't to be Geno...would you be okay with D. Milliner #1 overall?

Evan Silva ‏@evansilva
#Alabama CB Dee Milliner's two 40 times: 4.37, 4.31. Sick speed for a built-up, 6-foot, 201-pound corner.

Sam Mellinger ‏@mellinger
I would've been w/o the 40. MT @nate_bukaty Am I overreacting to this 40 time to be more excited for Chiefs to take Milliner than Joekel?

I would rather make the reeruned Revis trade than draft Milliner at number one. At least then there's a CHANCE that Geno still falls to you. In theory.

Better that or signing one of the other starting caliber cornerbacks and still getting a player in the first. Same reason I wouldn't take Joeckel #1 overall.

I just believe that, in this day and age, if you do not have a QB, there is literally no player worth taking at #1 other than QB. If you don't want to draft a QB, then you absolutely must trade down. Even if you only get an extra third rounder, this team has too many holes to reach for any player other than QB.

And that's the problem with trading down....if you're trading down, the team you're trading up with is doing it ONLY for a QB. No team is going to trade up for Jackoff when Fisher can fall right in their lap by staying where they are.

And if Geno Smith is worth trading up for, then he's worth drafting yourself.

I don't know. Maybe because I've only talked about it approximately 732 times. I guess I just got sick of typing out ANOTHER long-winded post that explains a ridiculously obvious premise.

NO NO NO Milliner. Rhodes at the top of the 2nd is a much better pick. He is tall and much more physical. He will be a better pro than Milliner.

My assumptions are we resign Albert and Bowe and are not sold on Geno, so he will not be the #1 pick. We trade a 4th for Smith or Foles. No trade offers available to move out of the first pick. This scenerio leaves us wide open with the first pick.

I'm kind of warming up to Star Lotulelei (assuming he checks out medically). Resign Jackson at a FMV contract take Rhodes in the 2nd and Tyrann Mathieu in the bottom of the 3rd (this is a little early but he will be gone by the top of the 5th).

Star, Poe, Jackson
Tomba, Johnson, FA ILB, Houston
Flowers, Rhodes, Mathieu, Flowers

That could be a really, really good defense.

Add Da Rick Rodger with the 3rd round pick to go with Bowe and Trevor Kelch (sleeper TE) in the 5th.

This would be a huge improvement over the past couple of years. Of course Smith or Foles at QB only makes it a huge improvement.

Flame away.

This is full of stupid.

1. Star at #1 overall? No thanks. Fail.

2. Xavier Rhodes won't be there in round 2. Fail.

3. Tyrann in the 3rd? Hell no. Absolute Fail.

I would take him over Jerkoff. With Flowers and Milner let's just say QB's would be paying 2,000 everytime they threw the ball.

Ok. This is relevant how? So a team has a CB and fails to adequately address the other positions (you know, since its a team game and all) to win a SB and all of a sudden the impact that they had on their chances to get there in the first place is diminished?

I swear, some on here have such tunnel vision regarding Geno it's pathetic. Nobody is saying we're not going to draft a QB. They may be targeting a QB that will fall. We have no idea.

The point is that there are other positions where this draft has a quality player as well that would really improve the team.

And all of those position can be addressed in rounds 2-7, AFTER we've addressed the QB position.

It's a DEEP, DEEP draft.

Lol. I'm not opposed to drafting Geno at #1. However, if we don't then I want an impact player at another position. Milliner, Floyd, Patterson, Pass rusher, etc.

Just not a lineman.

Well, if we don't draft a QB at 1.1, I don't really care what they do after that.

Sorry.

If it's not a QB, there are really only two options that make any sense at all:

Milliner or Patterson.

Just about every prospect talked about as Top10 has been sliding.

Joekel
Jones
Star
Patterson
Milliner
Werner
Moore

All the more reason to take a swing for your franchise QB. Draft Geno #1 and let's go!
