Channeling the 2012 version of Alex Smith

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9plNqVr2qRo -- definitely the best 8 games played by Smith in his career, stuff we haven't seen on a routine basis

In 8.5 games he threw for 13 TD's , QB rating 102, QBR 68 , 70% completion. Only 26 pass attempts/game yet put up a 6% TD rate (highest as a Chief was 4.5%)

There are 2 clear differences 1) He had great pocket protection and stayed in it more frequently (runs thru progressions routinely) 2) He really trusted options 3-5 to go after the ball (Manningham, Walker, Moss). I think Hill and Conley have built a good amount of trust thus far (but not holding my breath on Harris and Wilson)

Comparing his weapons then and now:
Maclin = Crabtree (push)
T Hill, Conley > Manningham, Moss
Kelce > Davis
Harris << Delanie Walker
Albert Wilson = Kyle Williams (push)
Spencer Ware (4.3 ypc, 3 tds) < Frank Gore (4.7 ypc, 8 tds)
Charcandrick West (3.3 ypc) < Kendall Hunter (5.2 ypc)
Anthony Sherman = Bruce Miller (push)
KC O-Line < San Fran O-line

I think Smith has most of the weapons in place for 2017. If we want bigger plays then we should draft a lineman in round 3 to compete for the center or guard position. We can also look for a versatile RB to be the back-up to Ware cause West is clearly not getting the job done.

I would be less vocal if there weren't several members PM'ing about how biased a couple of the mods have been since starting the job.
Let me guess. These members are lurkers with fewer than 1000 posts and your full reerun bff threebag.

I agree that other people can't keep you out of their mouths... and won't even when you are away for a while. Sometimes though, you do exacerbate the level of it.

Frankly, I'm just bored of it by now.. (not just you.. ALL the back and forth).. which is what I suspect others are feeling too, and why they post less. The personal grudges and wars that go on here are silly, tiresome, and played out a thousand times over.

I hold zero grudges here, and I took/take lots of shit. I'm just completely desensitized to it these days.. and just want to click on threads to read opinions on the topics... even if I can predict those same old opinions.

Your opinion versus mine.
My use of what phase?

Timmay saying you and clay being first? It's mainly just common sense, look at what other, diverse posters say about you guys.

It's not an opinion,it's fact.

This is ****ing pathetic.

He's practically begging to be a ****ing martyr, Sauto. At some point you may want to just give him what he wants so bad.

No, I don't know when that will happen. Probably when you and the mod team are actually at your wits' end with this shit.

He's been doing it since there were even rumors of new mods.

I'm doing everything I can to try and help him realize what will help him and us enjoy his stay here.

And if it comes to that there's gonna be MANY posts in MANY public threads where I've gone way out of my way to explain the issues publicly.

I have a feeling he's gonna dig a grave and someone other than me is gonna full it in, but I honestly would rather that not happen.

We need dissenting opinions here.

There's some good truth to this post. There's no doubt that people around here enjoy a good pile-on. However, Tiger has certainly embraced the role of the heel the last year or so.

When you sit back and watch these slapfights between Tiger and his detractors, you don't really see a right or wrong side, you see both sides giving as good as they get.

Which goes to my point: if he didn't engage the masses it would be easier to moderate the worst guys against him.

Channeling 2012 Alex? What for?

He is the same effing guy that we all hate... only difference was the team around him. Want to win in the playoffs with Alex?- better have a top 3 defense and a top 10 running game to drag Alex along for the ride because Alex has never led a top passing attack or a top overall offense. Never.

You know, Mr Tigeruppercut, most QBs don't suddenly revert to their form of 5 years prior at age 33.
