Alex Smith is a damn good QB

Just look at some of the numbers around the league today. We're lucky to have him as our QB.

OK, sorry for wrecking your day. I am thrilled you beat the Seahawks. Made my day, even as the 49ers continuing shitty offense almost ruined my day.

You aren't wrecking any ones day. There is no way you could. Life is too good.

But thank you very much for at least giving me some real answer about it. Nobody else would even give me a serious answer. Thanks. I have no doubt that Alex is a leader. Why are you so committed to being a douchebag? Banned from the 49ers forum? LOL

I thought the Philly fans that came over with Reid were going to be the pain in our ass. Even obnoxious Philly fans had the decency to leave after having some fun. SF fans? You can be rude to them. You can mock them. You can insult them on the lowest levels. What you cannot do is get rid of them. They are that obsessed with Alex Smith that they just will not, or cannot leave.

It would be amusing if it weren't so sad and annoying.

But Alex didn't get my fantasy team a needed win by throwing for 400 yards, even though the run game was working and KC did not need him to throw for 400 yards! WAH!

So I asked the question, what did Alex do. It looks to me like it was your typical Chiefs win, Defense and Jamaal Charles.

What did Alex do that the thread was "Andy and Alex", not "Andy and Jamaal"?
Your typical Chiefs win is just Defense and Jamaal Charles?

Get the **** out of here. Stop acting like you're just coming on here casually asking questions about the game. You came on here with an agenda for a game you didn't see and are getting clowned for it.

For those who saw the game... Smith ran an efficient offense. The first TD came off an excellent read option pitch to Charles by Smith. Throughout the game, the Chiefs ran a lot of trickery in the passing game. Lots of fake screens, quick slants, options, etc.... executed flawlessly. Smith looked really smooth in the pocket today. Didn't rely on his legs too much. The Chiefs put on an offensive clinic today -- something you wouldn't notice if you didn't watch the game, given that 2 drives were killed by costly turnovers.

Absolutely. Here's the drives killed:

Kelce fumble
Jamaal fumble
Two drives stuffed on a 3rd and 1 run play
Alex Smith incomplete pass on 3rd and 10

Smith was responsible for a total of 1 drive being killed. It's not sexy, but that's a QB doing his job.

Yeah, a 3rd and 10 that should have been 3rd and 2 had Dwayne Bowe been able to handle the complexities of catching a ****ing football thrown right to him.

Pretty sure the 3rd down pass was batted down by a leaping LB too?

not that important in the grand scheme.. just saying.

Whatever you say. You saw the game, not me.

I just find it hard to believe the part about "Lots of fake screens, quick slants, options, etc.... executed flawlessly." I mean, how you get "lots" from 11 completions on 16 attempts, I can't say. It doesn't seem like enough of either to garner "lots of" anything.

16 passing attempts and 30 rushing attempts screams "rushing offense" to me on the stat line. But maybe those 11 completions for 108 yards and no TDs just outweigh the 20 carries for 159 yards and 2 TDs by Charles alone.

The stat line doesn't look anything like the picture you are describing of "Lots of fake screens, quick slants, options, etc.... executed flawlessly.

I have no doubt about the "executed flawlessly" part as I know Alex is a master of the short passing game and regulary completes 70% of these short passes. I never misrepresented that in any way.

My point is, you get 159 yards and 2 TDs from Charles, but Alex put on a clinic with 108 yards and no TDs passing. Uh... OK. How does that work if you don't have Charles opening up the pass to begin with.

I guess you just had to see the game...
