Two 1st round picks for Russell Wilson in '16 and '17 or '17 and '18

Do you sign the offer sheet if the Seahawks non-exclusively tag Russell Wilson?

Pole cumming.

They were all drafted by bad teams and all of their teams enjoyed an immediate turnaround because they're all good QBs.

I can pull meaningless stats out of nowhere as well. You do that a lot. One stat gets shot down, move to another.
Russell Wilson's first three seasons are not meaningless stats.

One game? That's the definition of cherry picking and meaningless.

The Seahawks won their division and a playoff game in Pete Carroll's first season in 2010, going 7-9 (ultimately 8-9). The Seahawks again went 7-9 in 2011. They were a good team with a very good defense but clearly missing a QB when Wilson was drafted in 2012.

The Falcons were not a good team, nor were the Patriots and others you listed outside of the Dolphins, who lucked into maybe the greatest QB ever at #27 of the 1983 draft.

Seattle was NOT 4-12 two years prior to Wilson's arrival.

Dan Marino played in a different era.

"Hey look, Russell Wilson's TD% compares favorably to literally every quarterback drafted in the last 15 years!"

Those quarterbacks were drafted to bad teams

"Hey look, some of those quarterbacks were drafted to good teams! And the Seahawks didn't have a winning record before Wilson arrived."

I will move this goalpost some more.

Yeah, for some reason I had it in my head that Wilson joined the team in 2011.

Doesn't make much difference, though. 7-9 the year before he was drafted, 7-9 the year before that, 5-11 the year before that, and 4-12 the year before that. To say that they were a good team is just.. not a good argument.

4-12, 5-11, 7-9, 7-9... (Wilson gets drafted)... 11-5, 13-3, 12-4.

TOTAL COINCIDENCE.

No, it's not a coincidence, which is the point.

Seattle was in Year Three of its rebuild when Wilson was drafted. They were a good team with a great defense missing an above average QB.

That's very different than that of Atlanta and others you mentioned.

Pete Carroll and John Schneider weren't running the Seahawks in 2008 or 2009, so your point is invalid.

Dane is right. All they needed was a good quarterback. They were already trending up on defense (went from 25th to 7th) and already had the running game. All they needed was a QB that wasn't Tavaris Jackson. Wilson gave them that.
