Two 1st round picks for Russell Wilson in '16 and '17 or '17 and '18

Do you sign the offer sheet if the Seahawks non-exclusively tag Russell Wilson?

Pole cumming.

That's a bad comparison.
It's not a bad comparison. Russell Wilson is head and shoulders above most QBs from every era. Observe the list. Let Claynus educate you, California Raisin.

TD percentage, first three seasons, all-time

Dan Marino 6.8
Tony Romo 6.1
Russell Wilson 5.82
Aaron Rodgers 5.53
Philip Rivers 5.5
Ben Roethlisberger 5.3
Peyton Manning 5.06
Joe Montana 4.76
Tom Brady 4.5
Matt Ryan 4.5
Brett Favre 4.36
Drew Brees 4.36

lotta guys

Alex Smith 1.73

And by the way, this doesn't even count his rushing touchdowns. The guy is an absolute monster, and anyone who doesn't see it is a jealous nimrod hell-bent on loving Alex Smith for stupid reasons.

So what?

Lets talk about bottom five defense versus consensus number one defense.

It all goes hand in hand, Ryan could turn their average group of receivers and tight ends into well known names with the aid of the baddest defense throwing the opposing O off the field quickly, leaving a short field for the offense.

Like I said, its a pointless debate that no one can win... most of all YOU.

If Matt Ryan is soooo much better how come his TD% in his first three seasons with BETTER offensive players doesn't come close to Russell Wilson's?

What about yards per attempt in their first three seasons? It's not even close:

Wilson 7.93
Ryan 6.96

Yeah...stick to slurping game managers.

But even in 2013, when Julio Jones was out for most of the season, Ryan still had 4,500+ passing yards and 26 TD's on a 4-12. Atlanta's defense has just been awful during his tenure.

OTOH, Russell Wilson's most productive season was last year, when he had 3,475 passing yards. Curiously however, his TD% dropped two full points to 4.4, meaning that the more he threw the ball, the less effective he became.

Seattle was three years into their rebuilding process when Wilson was drafted.

Atlanta was in their first season.

The only reason this guy hasn't blown up is because the Seahawks throw the ball so infrequently. With as much as he throws it down the field though, huge numbers are coming.
Another classic case of Clay giving excuses to other QB's but not ours.

Completely meaningless.

Outside of Marino and Wilson, all of the QB's you mentioned were drafted to play on bad football teams.

I'll give excuses to Alex when his TD% and YPA are legendary.

Even in his 11th year he hasn't approached Wilson.

He and Russell Wilson are not similar QBs.

Wilson was drafted into a top 5 talented team.

IMO this years Chiefs team has a lot of the same talent as the 2012 Seahawks team. I'm fine with the plan of Alex being here while we build the roster up as long as we draft a QB in the next year or two.

HIs last playoff game was better statistically than anything Wilson has ever done.

I can pull meaningless stats out of nowhere as well. You do that a lot. One stat gets shot down, move to another.
