You can't build a team around a guy that some would argue was the best defender in the league last year? A guy that was basically as important to winning a SB as Patrick Mahomes was isn't worthy of building a team around? Well that's just ****ing dumb.

I wish I was his agent, because then I'd be a millionaire and I'm very relaxed.
You're too stupid to be his agent so no worries there

You make some good points but pretty much unless you are a DT like Aaron Donald, no I would not want to build a team around a DT. It can be an important piece to the team but to build around? Absolutely not.

If you don't like my opinion because you are a homer that's cool. My free advice to you - don't bet on Chiefs games. Your bias will cloud your judgement. No offense.

There is a big difference between not getting a sack in a playoff game (until last year's AFC Championship) and disappearing. Some people obviously can't distinguish.

Eh, I still like calling him the kelce of the D since I feel like they both kind of lead from the heart. It’s hard to compare anyone on defense to a great qb let alone the best in the game. I agree with you… while I never wanted to get rid of jones I really think the big difference this past year he made was in his leadership. arguably honey badger hogged some of that spotlight and 2 years ago he hurt the Locker room way more than he helped. But last year jones was the undisputed leader and it showed. He was the guy running the sidelines motivating his teammates.

I could see Chris Jones wanting to be the highest paid. I could see Veach passing on that too.

I hope CJ gets extended but I won’t be surprised if they can’t get it done. I just hope they at least tag and trade him if they can’t work out a long-term deal. I always hoped we get him on a 5 year deal with $75M signing bonus and a year 4/5 of funny money to give him the biggest average but keep the cap hit between $16M-$25M the first three years.

Its one thing to say something obviously stupid, we all do it at times. Its another level ignorance to double down on it with an even dumber post.

Chris Jones disappears in too many playoff games. Better trade for Frank Clark. Because that guy shows up in playoff games!

If you take Chris Jones off of this team we are sitting at 0 super bowls during the Mahomes era. He was dominant against the niners, and we don’t win the bengals game without him.

Taking up two blockers is not disappearing in it's own right. Here's what Pat had to say about it.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes also understands Jones’ decision — and wanted to make it clear that Jones’ teammates are looking forward to his return.

“It’s part of the business,” said Mahomes. “Chris knows that we love him here. He’s been a part of this team for a long time. He’s one of the main reasons that we’ve had the success that we’ve had; he’s been that leader on the defense. He’s made a lot of big plays in what seem like the biggest moments. And you want those guys on your team.

Um, if we traded him to draft Kinlaw like some were wanting we would have been in the surely would have been in the exact same place.

Aaron Donald didn’t win a Super Bowl until the Rams got a QB.

Shouldn't you be sucking off Alex Smith somewhere, while caressing his Frankencalf, rather than calling someone ELSE a homer?

The offense in the NFL today is all about rocketing the ball downfield as quickly as possible, the best to combat that is with a great D-line, **** the draft pick trade scenario, that takes time and has a lot of uncertainty. Give the man his contract.
