***OFFICIAL Chiefs vs. Bengals Game Day Thread***

Based on a little discussion in the other thread, I think FAX needs a break. And anyway, with Mahomes, we don't have to rely on luck and mojo for wins anymore, so it seems fitting that starting the game thread should be an honor shared by many.

So if for no other reason than it's almost 12:30 and no one has started it yet, here's a game thread. In Mahomes we trust. Amen.

But Andy Dalton is 0-10 in Primetime...

They are meaningless stats. Which is my entire point. Let's talk about how we have a defense this year that can't seem to stop any one. Today we face a Bengals offense with 2 deep threat WR's and a damn good RB. That seems to be clicking better than they ever have.

This is not a easy game just based on the way our defense has played. It sucks to admit it. But it is true. Our offense can win games as easily for us and just as quickly as our defense can lose them.

Andy Dalton being 0-10 is actually NOT a meaningless stat. He's had superior weapons his entire career and he's Oh-fer in primetime and 0-5 in the playoffs.

Dude is a prototypical choker. If you look in the Thesaurus, "Andy Dalton" is listed as an antonym for "clutch".

Then Andy Dalton never losing to the Chiefs is not a meaningless stat either. Guess he just doesn't choke against the Chiefs? You can't just have it your way. This isn't Burger King.

Reading stats like you guys are is nothing more than looking at it through Rose colored glasses. No one gives a damn about last year or the year before that, man. We are talking about this year. And the obstacles that we face a long the way. I learned a long time ago. Looking back for confirmation of a belief in a win today is for losers.

So I’m confused. NFL.com says Bengals have won the last 4, but then has:

Dalton has beaten us twice. Once in Cincy 3 years ago and once in K.C. in the 2012 worst season in team history.

Not exactly impressive.

He’s playing a good team at home in prime time tonight.

If we control the interior of the Bengal's defensive line we'll win.
