Reporting Live (on TV) from the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

I missed Brazile, Beathard, and Kramer, which was a bummer because I was interested in Brazile and Kramer.

Rumor has it that Beathard traded away his second-round speech for an eighth-round speech.

Brian Urlacher's wife is going to have back trouble some day, and Urlacher is spending all of his money on her teeth whitening. It looks like it's worth it, though.

I'd give Urlacher a D+ on the speech. Other

Brian Dawkins named his first two children Brian (male) and Briani (female).

Emmitt Thomas dealt with Dawkins when he was considering suicide and got credit for saving Dawkins' life.

I'd give Dawkins a B. Good solid speech, and he gave his wife a nice gold shawl during the ceremony. He also mentioned putting the names of people he's thankful for into his jacket so he'd think about them when he put it on. Pretty clever move.

More updates if I care enough to do so. Randy Moss is next, and I'm looking forward to seeing highlights from his time with the Raiders.

Also, thank you to Rain Man for live blogging this.. Ray Lewis will always be sweaty shoulders guy to me now.

When I first saw those pics, I thought he must have been wiping his forehead off and then that's where he wiped the sweat off his hand. Watching some video of his speech he had a big rag he was wiping his forehead with though

If you've ever seen Men in Black there is a creature walking around in some guys skin. I now deeply suspect Ray Lewis is an alien disguised in human skin.

This year marks the second time in my insignificant life that I was at the NFL Hall of Fame during induction week but was not there on induction day. This year, I was there Wednesday. In 2014, I was there Wed also I believe, but may be wrong on the day.

Next year I believe Tony Gonzalez will be a first balloter,(for lack of a better term) but we are going to Okinawa, Japan. Go figure

Which brings up a question, after Tony, what Chief is in line for Canton? And what year will the induction be?

He didn’t mention the Chiefs?

I’ve hated that butt-****ing narcissistic moron for years. How he is in the HOF before Otis Taylor is a ****ing joke.

Along with Johnny Robinson.

I fully expect the Chiefs to be playing in the HOF game next year.

Holy cow. I think there are nine of them. He just cited their names from memory.

Speaking of Moss:
Quote:
Randy Moss entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday night, and with the spotlight on him Moss took an opportunity to make a stand. Along with his gold enshrinement jacket, Moss wore a black tie with the names of 12 black men and women who had been killed by police.

Moss did not speak about his tie during his Hall of Fame speech, but explained the decision behind wearing it in an interview with the NFL Network.

“What I wanted to express with my tie was to let these families know they’re not alone. I’m not here voicing, but by having these names on my tie, in a big platform like the Pro Football Hall of Fame, there’s a lot of stuff going on in our country and I just wanted these family members to know they’re not alone.”

Moss, now serving as an NFL analyst for ESPN, hasn’t shied away from showing his support for social justice causes since leaving the NFL. He has recently been retweeting examples of racial inequality, as well as amplifying Shannon Sharpe’s tweet about the hypocrisy inside sports when it comes to how white athletes and black athletes are treated by the public.
