The false comparisons are prevalent and silly as hell. The Air Raid offense isn't an NFL offense, but the NFL is morphing more and more toward true spread offensive concepts, and not just in special situations.
The Air Raid slowed Mahomes' development as a disciplined QB. It didn't destroy him. In the area of calling your own plays and making quick reads, the Air Raid actually gives him an advantage. What else matters? The kid is smart, he's hungry, he's passionate about football, and he now has time to grow into an NFL calibre QB. Physically, he's a ****ing freak. He has a natural swagger than you want your QB to have. I think Mahomes is going to be the steal of this draft, and while it was a make or break move for KC, I think he has enough of the important indicators to become really good. |

Most of these yahoos always think the QB that is the best fit for the Chiefs is the noodlest armed QB in Noodleville. And they mock us a fattie every year. They want the Chiefs to stay mediocre where they belong.

Drew Brees was a spread QB.
