Congrats on a Great Year, the #2 Seed, and Looking Forward to Pats/Chiefs AFCCG

I just wanted to say congrats to the Chiefs on a great year. The stars really couldn't have aligned much better for the Pats and Chiefs to meet in the AFCCG this year. I'm sure you guys are rooting against the Pats in the divisional round so you get home field for the championship game, but I'm counting on seeing Pats/Chiefs in Foxboro on Sunday, January 22.

If we beat New England I believe it will be because of Tyreek Hill. Whether just exploding in one phase of the game or more or freeing up things for Maclin and Kelsey I believe it's all going to hinge on Hill.

How pathetic do you have to be to smugly gloat on an opposing team's board...a NON divisional one at that. Absolutely pathetic.

The thing is...incorporating Hill is a relatively new development. You saw it in the recent Denver/San Diego games. Neither could stop KC's offense. It didn't look like the same team. Smith is a mis-match QB. They routed Denver and put up 250 yards in one quarter. Donkos were fighting for their playoff lives. I think the Titans game really made Reid take notice...unless he was playing possum. Ignoring Kelce and Hill for the entire second half was very bizarre.

Andy did make a point in his presser of "sticking with what works"...and too much time lends itself to over complicated game plans.

I will say that once Reid/Sutton face a coach...they usually don't lose the next time. Once they faced Kubiak/Wade...KC beat them 3 in a row. They were 6-0 in the division...and 11-1 over two years. They made Carr look like a rookie. It'll be interesting what they have dialed up for Haley. He's an extremely average coordinator with great players.

Might as well not even have the other 4 playoff teams in the AFC play. This thread proves it!

I think the bigger question would be how a Patriots fan compiles 38k posts on a Chiefs forum.

I am just curious as to how that happens. I'm not hating, but very, genuinely curious. Why a Chiefs forum?

Out for last year's game? Here's a list:

starting left tackle Nate Solder
starting RB Lagarette Blount
RB/3rd down back hybrid Dion Lewis
FB James Develin (one of the top two FBs in the NFL)
LB Jerod Mayo
starting guard Ryan Wendell
and quite literally ten other guys.

Pats ended the season with 19 guys on IR. Sure some were backups or first year players, but many others were contributors who were missed.

Sure, the NFL has proven it can make up whatever scandal it wants and then penalize a team for it.

Pats have had a cakewalk schedule this season and will probably have another cake walk in the division round.

Must be nice to play in the easiest division in football.

Because the AFC East is so much worse than the AFC South? Or perhaps the NFC South (some years, certainly), or NFC North?

Heck, this year the AFC East > NFC North. Pats > Steelers, Miami > Ravens, Bills > Bengals, and Jets > Browns in terms of regular season record.

I can do the same with NFC West. Pats > SEahawks, Miami > Arizona, Bills > Rams, Jets > Niners.

So quit the damn whining about the schedules/divisions. Yes, the AFC **WEST** is tough. We all can acknowledge that. But the AFC East isn't unusually soft.

Not soft? The AFC East? You sound as stupid as ever. Always soft and have been for 15 years that's why the same team always wins it. If it wasn't weak ass hell that wouldn't happen. Manning had it easy as well. If either played in any other division their history would be much different.

If we're talking 15 years, then:

Compared to the AFC West and North? Yes. Compared to the AFC South? Definitely not.

Compared to the NFC East? Yes. Compared to the other three divisions? Nah.

Which makes the AFC East pretty much average. Dont' see how anyone can argue the AFC South has been a stronger division over the past 15 years than the East.
