If we can beat Denver...

I don't see why we couldn't run the table and win out.

@Chargers
Bills
@Raiders
Chargers
@Ravens
Browns
Raiders

I mean, after Denver our toughest games on the schedule are against the Raiders.

Only chance that Denver has of making any noise in the playoffs is to win the regular season games vs NE and CIN, find a way into that #1 seed. If they go on the road, the chances of winning are slim. I have no issues accepting that as a reality.

I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

And, Mother****er Jones - apparently, our team isn't any good with Manning this year. So, it's all good.

Manning will retire after this season, there's just no way he comes back and they'll turn the page and move on. Will they have a fall back to earth moment? Possibly, but the franchise wall fall into the abyss, they've proven over the tenure of Bowlen that they are dedicated to prevented that from happening and the team leadership is doing well.

Anyway, under the Bowlen tenure... Broncos are 40-24 vs the Chiefs, and since 1984 (first under his ownership) the franchise has only had 5 losing seasons. You only have to go back to 2008 to match that for KC.

Carry on, my wayward son that doesn't care that much about sports, yet spends way too much bickering with a rival fan on a board he spends way too much time on...

:-) No, I just recall reading a lot of various information on what happened... and I recall a lot of the reasons why people were upset, but in the end - it didn't allow them to sign 1 player that they wouldn't have signed anyway, had they not chosen to defer $29M in salary to guys like Elway and Davis.

You can google it. My mom tried telling me when I was 7 that wrestling was fake. She said that the Freebirds and VonErichs likely went out for dinner after matches... I said she was crazy, but that was many moons ago.

I was 12 and saw Owen and Bret hart on the same plane talking to each other when they supposedly were in a feud.

That sort of ruined it for me.

Sanders misses 3rd straight day

Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) will be a game-time decision for Week 10 against the Chiefs.

Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said earlier this week he expected Sanders to play on Sunday but that was before he missed three straight practices. If Sanders can get the green light, he'll have an enticing matchup against Kansas City. That game starts at 4:25 PM ET.

Must be nice to take over a franchise and have one of the best QB's in NFL history handed to you.

Elway was the reason for Bowlen's success. All the AFC Championships, all the SB appearances, the rings, etc.

Once Elway left, everything about the Broncos was average. The Broncos were consistently winning 6,7,8 or 9 wins and were the staple point of mediocrity.

This will once again be the case once Manning leaves, unless Elway can talk Brees or some other QB into coming to town.

Don't forget they didn't win shit though until they got 2 ex Chiefs defenders

Ok, let's see.... assuming you want to look at 1999 through 2011, before Manning.

13 seasons - 5 Division Titles
6 seasons > .500 / 4 seasons @ .500 / 3 seasons < .500
Record of 111-97 overall in the regular season

Griese, Plummer, Cutler, Orton, Tebow ...

All in all, I'm sure there are a lot of 13 year stretches that are much worse than that, and while there's no real playoff greatness there, I do believe they still had the best record of any AFCW team in that stretch of 13 years.

Kings of shit mountain during that time? Maybe.

I think Denver / Manning dread going to New England in the winter time. Even with their roided up Defense- it will be another loss to Brady.
