Which Wilson, an UDFA rookie, almost achieved in just a few games. But I'm a homer/idiot for thinking he's an upgrade over Donnie ****ing Avery.

Saying his drops occur at the worst times is also ignoring all the moments when he's been clutch on 3rd down or the end of games.

By the same logic, Wes Welker before 2014 was a very good WR but also a butterfingered bitch because of what happened during the playoffs in New England. Yet nobody was going around saying his hands were suspect, or that "his drops always occur at the worst times!"

You don't realize I pretty much agree with what you're saying. I love Bowe. I'm not bashing him. I'm also not going to pretend that he didn't have about just as many drive killing drops/drops in crucial moments as he did clutch catches. His hands were neither great nor terrible. Just a little too inconsistent. My "his drops occur at the worst times" statement was alluding to what you said about other fans. Due to his drops coming at those crucial times there's a misconception that I'm fully aware of just as you are.

Donnie Avery isn't even on an NFL roster right now. Do you honestly believe Wilson wouldn't be snatched up in a heartbeat if we cut him?

Avery's not bigger and while he had a nicer rookie season, he didn't miss most of it with a high ankle sprain.

Add to that, a career is a marathon, not a sprint. Albert Wilson has all the tools to easily put together 500 yard seasons, it's just a matter of whether or not he can stay healthy, something that plagued Avery his entire career.

Wilson was hurt most of the season. The guy got over 200 yards in 3 games as the #2 WR.

I don't see why he can't get 600 yards and a few TD's this year.

Dude, if two mother****ers weigh the same and one is taller, the taller one is bigger.

I find it funny that you mention Wilson's ankle sprain as an excuse when you just averaged Avery's career numbers including the years in which he was dealing with injuries.

You're also saying Wilson could potentially put together some 500 yard seasons, which would put him right in line with Avery's average yardage per season that you just lambasted?

They're both small, speedy WRs with injury concerns. One is still learning the game while the other has shown NFL production over a relatively lengthy career.. And the guy that's not shown sustained production is the better player? He may well end up being better, but as of now you can't make that determination.
