-- Which D formation/sets would give KC the most realistic chance of winning vs. PM

Just wondering and trying to learn the game more.

But say you were to spear-head the D going in to Denver.

How would you start off, at least? What approach would give us the best chance, factoring in our soft secondary?

Do you just spread them out and hope that we can stop the run?

Meh..

Instruct me, educate me, ...... Hold me.

In all honesty good tackling should go a long way. They lead the league in YAC last season and averaged 6.18 YAC last week.

That's not correct...Crennel faced him against the colts in 2010

The score was 9-9 going into the forth quarter. They held Manning to 0 TDs that game.

But really, I think this is right. I'd say--and I'm being totally serious here--it would take 14. Think about it. If we played their offense with 12 guys, we'd still get blown out by 30+. Wouldn't even make an noticable impact. Add another guy, and with 13, we're going to be able to double 2 receivers and rush an extra guy, or some combination of that. So, in that scenario, I think we'd be able to stay within 2 scores. With 14 guys, I'd say the game becomes a pick-em.

To be extremely blunt, the shortest distance to the QB is the A gap. Effective interior pressure gets the QB off his spot and is much safer than overload concepts IMO.

Yeah. Going to be tough.
