To your first two points the Chiefs offense did destroy the defense and the Patriots defense did prove to stand no chance just as everyone predicted and it was much the same as last year. Mahomes did eat them alive as well.

Most people said the Patriots would probably do the same thing to our defence as well. Are you one of those people that think the Patriots did play well on defense and provided some blueprint on how to stop them?

To your third point many national prognosticators came away viewing the Chiefs even more favorably.

You are just being willfully disingenuous and it’s pretty sad really. The dissent you speak of was towards anyone, especially the trolls who said the Chiefs would be held to under 24 points. That was not rational analysts at all so that person was called out on it repeatedly.

"Destroy" and "eat them alive" aren't too specific terms, I guess you could say that if you're partial to KC. Yes, they had a very good 2nd half, but they started with:

FG, FG, INT, FG, INT

That's selective memory here. You also failed to mention 97-yard kick return in your post, was it Mahomes blocking on special teams?
I guess you can twist it in response somehow... i.e. "we would score a TD even if we started at 25" like it's granted.

Nah, I don't think there is a blueprint for stopping the offense with Hill, Watkins, Hunt, Kelce - that's four very good/elite targets, any QB would be successful with this group, and your QB is on the rise now. So I think they'll continue to drop 30+ pts a game.

When it comes to being willfully disingenuous, that's just BS. Here are some quotes for you from the thread we're discussing... before any Pats troll appeared you already had plenty fun there:

Quote:
Tom Brady has thrown 6 picks this year. They have no pass rush.
We're going in there to ****ing dump hot molten lava cum from our volcano dicks down their willing bitch throats.
The AFC is ours mother****er and we're about to prove it.

This is where we stake our claim to the mother****ing conference.
We're going in there with our beards grown out and sleeves ripped off to plant our ****ing Chiefs Kingdom flag right up Tom Brady's sphincter.
WE WILL BEAT THE PATS

Mahomes is going to have another Steelers type game. Brady can't do that dinking and dunking every play.

Gonna have to beat refs, Brady, Belicheck, and whatever cheating scam the Pats are running now.

New England is an old dog and we are about to put them down.

Let's talk about the refs, you mean.

WE'RE GONNA STOMP A ****ING MUDHOLE IN THOSE CHOWDER GUZZLING SONS OF ****S
A NOR'EASTER IS COMING ALL THE WAY FROM THE ****ING HEARTLAND

We are gonna beat them.
I'd put my life savings on that, OP.

If Ford plays anything like today, it'll be a blowout. Brady gets all frazzled when he can't throw those 5-yard passes without being untouched.

i got a chiefs boner a MILE LONG
im here to POWER **** our opponents and their fans

Chiefs are going to go into shitsboro, and embarrass the Pat's at home for the 2nd consecutive year. Someone call Kavanaugh because theres a rape train coming
And that's just first couple of pages.
Oh, there were some exceptions to that, such as this one:

Quote:
We just don't match up well with the Pats offense. TEs and RBs catching out of the backfield are our biggest weakness and there's probably not a team in the league that goes to those wells quite like the Patriots. Then we'll still have to deal with Edelman and Gordon.
But that's the minority.

Anyways, you're not going to change my opinion on that discussion since I originally read some 30-40 pages of that and that was enough.

Now the game is over so let's focus on Bengals.

You didn't look very hard if all you saw was 100% Chiefs to destroy Pats. And i mean, we were 5-0, with the best offense in the league, and its a chiefs fan forum. Did you expect mostly negativity?

I didn't claim 100% said that, please reread my post. But I claim most of it was "Chiefs >>> Cheatriots" rather than any semblance of rational analysis. That's what I expect from football forums, to get a better understanding of rival team and their capabilities. Not much insight last week, here.

Patriots were 5-0 couple of times before, as you know, and I don't remember such one-sidedness and lack of discussion on patsfans or patspulpit comments section.

When it comes to vitriol - does taking a notice that some of you enjoy rape jokes/taunts make me thin-skinned? I'm just shocked how rest of your fanbase accepts that behavior.

So, you're new here. You have to give Chiefs fans a bit of a break. We've perpetually been a red-headed stepchild in this league, and in the last 6 weeks, we've been thrust into golden child status thanks to our lord and savior Patrick Mahomes. Chiefs fans have been despondent and miserable for years and have only now become delirious with joy and optimism. It's only natural that there are going to be some swings as we find our equilibrium.

Consider this: the most prolific poster on CP is a guy named Clay. When the Chiefs played the Patriots in the playoffs a few years ago, he infiltrated the Patriots board to share stats about how pathetic Alex Smith was against teams that actually score 20+ points to demonstrate how you were going to maul us. I would offer him tickets to playoff games that he would decline without hesitation because he despised the essence of the team. Fast forward a few years and Clay has infiltrated your board again to talk friendly smack about the changing of the guard and he's now the biggest homer here. He literally doesn't know what to do with himself and his total 180 is frankly scaring some people here.

We're all excited for the Chiefs like we've never been before and we don't know what to do with ourselves. And you may have beaten us on Monday, but we're wholly convinced we'll beat you next time. And if you beat us next time, we will be wholly convinced we'll beat you the time after that. THIS IS THE ANTITHESIS OF THE WHERE WE WERE AT ANY POINT IN THE LAST FOUR DECADES.

As for the rape jokes/taunts, this is a message board - it's harmless. Your fans, on the other hand, **in person** at Foxborough are some of the most classless I've encountered (outside of Oakland of course). So best not to throw stones on that one.

And yes, we will roll you next time, or the time after that. The reckoning is coming.

Good post. Glad to see you guys are excited about your team and future, especially given your history.

I been watching sports since the early 1970s and basically had to wait 30 years till 2001 to feel great about the Boston teams, was not really a big fan of the Celtics. So i hear yah and understand the excitement in KC. During that 30 year run we has some close finishes but not teams we felt would win a championship when the seasons started.

Trash talk is fun and understand that it comes alot once folks feel their oats, at the same time though, it is good to engage those folks who want to talk football and are not just trolls.

I do understand your points in your posts.

Go look at the Pats vs Chiefs winner poll. Plenty of people thought it would be close - you are being disingenuous. Not to mention hundreds of posts in the lets talk about the patriots thread. Plenty of people were giving fair assessments. In fact it was only when numerous Patriot fans came here slinging equally vulgar taunts, that it devolved into more of a pissing match.

Ive never known a fan base that plays up the victim mentality so much. We lose to anyone else and you maybe get 2-3 posters tops. you lose to the Pats and the vitriol and the crying that you get from a stream of posters is just unfathomable. You would think that winning a few superbowls would make for thicker skin.

And lets be honest, you came here for a number of reasons which summated that your feelings were hurt and that you were being insecure about your team. You didn't like that Chiefs fans overwhelmingly (in your mind) thought they would beat the Patriots by a lot, you didn't like the fact people said some hurtful things in your opinion, and you didnt like the fact that your team was being disrespected. You are being insecure, you had to come here to talk about your insecurities.

It is all in good fun, posting on forums and even a little friendly trash talk. The only time it might get out of hand is when folks go to other forums and get out of line.

Oh dear, looks like you are coming up on 200,000 post. That a lot of posting.
