I just don't see how the Chiefs get into the 1st round this year, unless they package up a player with a couple of 2nd round picks.
IMO, that's just not worth it. They need starters and depth. |

I'd take what I've got and go from there. Tough year to not have a first or earlier 2nd with all they need. Because of course,.....Chiefs. |

Better to not have a first because they traded up for Mahomes than any other position. I’m fine with this. Sucks but let’s see what happens in FA

I still think we can do a lot of damage with 5 picks in rounds 2-4.
Just take the best defensive player available for at least the first 4. |

Hitting on these picks allows KC to add some big ticket FAs to put them over the top in 2019-2020 before these guys need re-upped.

And structure those FAs so that they can be cut to get the homegrown players signed.

I hope we take a good look at this kid. Watched him play this year and he has the potential to be a freak!

I think the best case scenario is our first 2 picks being starter quality and the rest being depth (unless you’re referring to a punter).

I'm all in on Carlton Davis, trade up a few picks if he's still there in the middle of the second

I don't know shit about the draft. That said seems like Veach isn't against trading future picks for now results. What does the 2nd round pick from the Rams help if packaged with one of the Chief's 2nd or 3rd this year? Chiefs would still have their early picks next year and would be using the trade fodder this year. I don't know enough to know if this is plausible.

you think he'll go that high? i was thinking he would fall to second rd and we may get lucky to snag him where we are at. if not then maybe jump up a little bit if we think he's on someone's radar.

I just read yesterday he’s a serious option at 28 for them.

Ya i've been seeing alot of steelers fans hooting and hollering for him but didn't think they'd take him first round. He's only a 1yr starter but the kid can play, and he shows up big in big games. And he seems like the reid type of player so who knows. I think he's got a shit ton of potential though. Would hate to have to root against him if he's a steeler.
