ESPN pulls Curt Schilling from LLWS after offensive tweet

ESPN has pulled baseball analyst Curt Schilling from its coverage of the Little League World Series after he sent an offensive tweet comparing Muslims and Nazi-era Germans, the network announced Tuesday.

Schilling tweeted an image of Adolf Hitler with supposed statistics comparing the number of Nazi sympathizers in Germany to the percentage of modern Muslim extremists and deleted it after a few minutes. He had posted the same image on his Facebook page earlier in the day.

In a statement, ESPN called the former MLB pitcher’s comments “completely unacceptable.” He has been removed from this week’s coverage of the Little League World Series “pending further consideration.”

Schilling has caused controversy on Twitter before. In November, he spent four hours debating the theory of evolution with Twitter users. When his ESPN colleague Keith Law confronted Schilling with the overwhelming scientific evidence in support of the theory, the network suspended Law from Twitter.

Schilling is outspoken about his political beliefs, telling a Boston radio station in November that he believed he was denied admission to the Hall of Fame because he is a Republican.

Is there such a thing? We really don't know until push finally comes to shove. But I tell you this. I didn't see any anti-terrorist rallies or marches in the streets of America by these so called peaceful Muslims after 911. It's a big tell for me. And what's it say about their religion IF they are too afraid to demonstrate in a free society. They are either really afraid OR they do agree that all must die if they don't convert as their Quran teaches, they just don't advertise it for obvious reasons for now.

The lady next door to me bought her home in 2007 and her sister bought a house 4 doors down.

They're Muslim. Arabs.

I have not been "afraid" of them at any point in time, nor have I witnessed any "terrorist" activities (other than having parties until 6am during the week).

The headmaster at the preschool my daughters have attended since 2011 is Muslim, which is located in a Episcopalian church. There have been many atheist, Christian, Jewish, Muslim and Hindu families throughout the years and there's never been a single issue.

This shit is blown way out of proportion by a certain news channel and its followers.
