LOL, qualifiers were fine when you were mentioning Indiana's win when being the only program to beat Michigan at Ann Arbor this year. Certainly one of the most impressive wins in all of the NCAA this year, barring TCU's greatest win in the 20 year RPI history.

Ahh, the qualifier is the ten year mark, I didn't realize and I apologize. I thought since my last successful season was Mike Davis taking Bobby Knight's team to the Championship game in 2002 the past wasn't relevant.
Well you are certainly correct, IU has suffered under Mike Davis and Kelvin Sampson. And unlike Larry Brown, Kelvin didn't steal a championship while breaking NCAA rules. But Crean has obviously brought back good play, great in state recruiting (keeping Zeller instead of losing him like his brother to Roy was a great stride), and an even greater prospect of the future to Bloomington. IU should be back to center for quite awhile to come with Crean at the reins. The last 10 years certainly belong to you. Enjoy them, you have earned them. But tonight we will be talking about seeds in 2013, of which Indiana's current situation will carry much more weight with the NCAA officials than KU's last decade.

what am I missing here? SHIRLEY you aren't saying this about IN basketball? ARE YOU? I just cracked up at first and then starting thinking what an insane comment that would be considering they will probably be a 1 seed.....so I must be misunderstanding something here....

free throws......they're HARD. JFC!
just unbelievable. I had to laugh at Indianas last basket....a lame prayer air ball and Oladipo catches the sonofabitch and puts it in at the buzzer.......SHIT! lets see....Robinson misses a point blank layup which he coulda dunked, is fouled, and misses free throws. Hardaway blows a 1 and 1. Burke blows a 1 and 1. how many opportunities do you need guys? oh well. great game. AND they scored more that 50 points!

A one seed is a good start, but it isn't much of an accomplishment in its own right. I'm not ready to declare Gonzaga as anything special because they look to have a one seed locked up. Both Indiana and Gonzaga are having very good seasons thus far. Conference championships are something to be proud of. Neither will mean a thing if they don't at least grab a FF berth.

And Indiana may very well be "back". Only time will tell. They've been on an upward trend the last couple of seasons. Just not ready to declare a program has risen from the dead over one regular season.

IN certainly suffered some major setbacks with the Sampson fiasco.
be interesting to see if they keep up the good work.

I didn't put any qualifiers on Indiana's win. It was impressive, like many of their other road wins this year. But Michigan choked that game away completely in the final 40 seconds.
